Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 5:00AM. Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 64F. Winds light and variable.
Still no rain in the 10-day; sometimes I wonder why I bother looking.
I hope all the weather guessers are wrong, and the big snowstorm back east is a dud. But good to see so many of you are loaded for bear, just in case.
Still keeping an eye out for Ron, in hopes he'll change his mind.
How did the genny run in those cold temps, Drew?
Do they make a creeper with wheels large enough to not get stuck in the expansion joints in the concrete floor, Rich? I'm getting pretty tired of crawling around under vehicles, even when I lay down cardboard first.
Got a nasty surprise at the pharmacist's yesterday when a new inhaler prescription cost over $600 to fill. With no assurance from the doctor that it would work, that money might as well be spent on lottery tickets.
Took it easy going to town yesterday, bedding in the brakes on the truck. They got progressively better with each use, and were back to almost normal by the time I got home. What a relief.
The new sprocket for the chainsaw came in, as did another relay for the van, so I'll fool around with those today if I get a chance.
Got some surprisingly bad news on the homeowners insurance yesterday. It seems the company I've been with has gone out of business, and it's not clear whether or not I even have a policy anymore. The independent broker I've been using can't find any carrier except the California FAIR Plan, which provides wildfire insurance only for the princely sum of nearly $7k/year. Add another 1.2k/year for balance of coverage. So today I go shopping for another carrier, as this so called broker has done nothing to help keep me from going broke.
TGIF gang!
