J D 1050 head gasket

I am replacing the head gasket on a JD 1050 Yanmar engine. The old JD service manual says to install the gasket dry. My newer I & T manual says to coat both sides with Dow Corning RTV silicon gasket or equivalent. Which is correct, or has JD updated the manual with a service bulletin ? Thanks, Terry

What's the data on the TM1192?

Is the head gasket JD OE or is it more aftermarket generic?

The JD1050 is really a Yanmar YM4300 in green paint. Looking at the 3T90T head gasket from Fredricks' as the Yanmar OE, there is no mention of RTV to be used.

HG = head gasket.
950 = JD950 base engine.

This head gasket will fit the JD950, JD1050, YM4300, the 3T90LE generator, etc.
