For the most part residential in America is only 2 phase.
2 phase?

That's not an EV problem, that's an early adopter problem. The first cellphone cost about $10,000 in todays dollars. The first HD TVs were around $8,000. Now even the poorest of the poor has them. It's always like that and the EV revolution will be no different.
Partially agree, but what would solve the problem?
Cost of cell phones came down due to mass production techniques off shore. That’s a different situation than inner city people having charging stations.
I don’t see any way (physically) you can have a charging station for every car in the inner city under the current charging methods.

Therefore, under current charging techniques only rich people with driveways or garages can have a charging station.

Batteries are possible to repair, when this is everywhere you will find shops that serve batteries like you find shops that handle ICEs major parts.

Here I live there are many EVs and even the oldest keep on running, on a old leaf with a small battery you will notice reduced range but still very popular cars in the used markets, a lot of independent garages are training mechanics to handle the EV bit so you can get thing fixed whiteout going to the dealer. An EV is a very simple machine so lifetime will be long when used parts and knowledge is more common.
If materials shortages resolve, I expect aftermarket battery manufacturers to bring down battery costs too. Even Ford doesn't use Ford parts for repairs.

I was going to say 20, but actually even 10 years out, the "repair" market is going to look a lot different.

Many mechanics today don't like to work on electrical issues. A younger generation may be different, but I suspect many that are tech oriented, will go into a different trade.

There will be a problem with the repair business-model for EVs. Not like a garage can stay afloat just doing ICE oil and filter changes, but if EV maintenance mostly revolves around doing infrequent HV battery swaps, it doesn't make sense as a business.

I agree with your technical points, and do like to see things repaired and kept in use, but expect that EVs will have a lifecycle and usage pattern closer to cell-phones, than what ICE vehicles used to be.

Rgds, D.
If the current crop of vehicles is any indication, the first thing that will need repair is the cabin electronics. All those fancy displays will go black, and the chips to make them will no longer be manufactured. Try driving a drive-by-wire vehicle with no user interface...

But can the transport need be solved with other ways of transport? Cars are a problem in cities.

Yeah, maybe, but people want cars.
Only ”fair/equitable/equal” solution is every parking space equipped with a charging station, for now.
Not parking meter spots, assigned parking spaces.

Do they want to own a car or have access to a car when needed?

Not sure. I bet there’s some who would share a car, but most Americans like to own their own cars.
Even if some would ride share, you’d still need 10’s of millions of charging spaces or urban people are not given equal opportunity for ownership.
And it’s where EVs really are needed the most?
