Yep no one is seriously questioning the fact that the EV revolution train has left the station and is only gaining speed. From time to time there will be the flat earth types air but they know it's over for the internal combustion engine for personal transportation needs and school buses.
You've watch to many youtube videos...

Even CNBC is admitting to the hype and EV makers have to deliver in 2022 or risk investors fleeing.

"Eventually, upstart EV makers have to prove they can do more than build nice websites, show demos and collect preorder fees."

Since this thread is for posting information about current and new EVs and is not a debate thread on EVS as to where they are viable or not please start your own thread if you want to debate the pros and cons of EVS cuz this is not what this thread is about if you go back and read post one.

I would not have purchased our Leaf in 2019 if I wasn't 100% certain that the reality of EVS were here to stay until something Superior to them becomes mainstream as the EVS are doing. today. them. I do not give a rat's tail if other people buy EVS or not because that is their own business.

The subject of EVS today is quite inclusive so there can be Posts that maybe seems off subject but the only subject that will get reported is someone wanting to argue the viability of EVS because each person is capable of making their own decision on that.

The move to EVs as we know in the USA needs no federal and state funds. People will buy Evs when they meet their needs at a lower financial cost over the life of the vehicle.

I defined it as a plurality and >50%. Pretty sure that is not semantics.

You can disagree on the merits of those defining characteristics, but trying to triangulate it to an "English idiomatic expression" is semanticy...
Sure, when you make up your own meanings to words or phrases, so that they support your argument. You really should have used a "smirk" font on your grid posts. I'm sure you understood most people were referring to the wires, and you the whole supply system.

Some people can’t help themselves, they are argumentative by nature.

That's a good article. As they say every pot has to rest on its own bottom. Don't let EV FUD get the best of you however. :)

A pothole, just like a dead coil wouldn't be relevant. The EV would still have batteries, it's just that the range wouldn't need to be that much...100 miles on just battery would be plenty.
I'm sure Interstates would be the first modification, then highways, smaller roads, etc.
Sweden is already working on electric roads, but to me I think of slot cars we had in the 60s. Induction, although not extremely efficient seems like even small charging mile after mile would add up as you drive.
I'm just thinking...
We already have HOV lanes and mass transit lanes on freeways. Adding charging lanes would seem pretty straightforward.

Freeways are the only place they would be necessary. If you are on a surface street, you are not going very far and your battery can recharge while you park. If you are going 100 miles, you will mostly take a freeway. I can see a few 2-lane highways in the West being outfitted, where it's 60 miles to the next town.

Inductive charging lanes would, of course, be abused by yahoos doing things like seeing how fast their car could really go with a voltage boost. I can see smart lanes that would shut them down. "Sorry, Bubba, we did not build this so you could go 160 mph."

I guess youtube videos are the preferred way to move the EV revolution into the future...

Have you seen the VW self-driving mini-van interior? It's laid out like a rail compartment, with facing seats. There's even an optional card table, so you can play D&D while you go. They plan to have it on the streets in Munich starting in 2025.
