47° and sunny this afternoon

Worship went well, I had song leading. Well, there was one incident where I skipped a verse, and the slide turner didn’t catch it and had the slides on a different one.

Ate lunch at the diner on the mountain in PA. The guy that always wants to eat at the local Italian place wasn’t there.

Tried to pull cover off the tractor loader joystick to see why up/ down is sticking. Got it up enough to look, didn’t see anything wrong, and it did start sticking less. Then stocked more pellets on the porch. Only burned 11 bags so far this season.
Last time I tried to start the Massey the battery ran down, so I’ve had it on battery tender for a couple weeks. Today it started up fine. Let it run while I took ranger over the hill to check for downed trees (one small one down across the creek), then took trash to the road. Then put battery tender back on.

Our last remaining cat (with diabetes ) is having trouble jumping up on couch, and trouble going up down stairs, so wife put litter box in corner of dining room. I had to pick cat up and put it on the couch earlier, it tried to jump and fell back.
We are getting another cat from a rescue place, once it gets fixed. Last 4 cats have been black, new one is striped.
We’ve also been feeding 2 more of the neighbors cats, they are really friendly. Let them in this morning and they get along with our cat.

Drew, the plan is still very much a work in progress., a combination hydroponics and dirt. Salad stuff, leafy greens, herbs, and a trial and error of things we like. Probably a small area for seedlings for the outdoor garden. My goal is something sustainable with minimal work. Not an on your knees weeder person.
Do you plan on organic hydroponics?

Do you plan on organic hydroponics?

If only by accident, just don’t buy into the hoopla.

Lest, I be misunderstood, I won’t go crazy the other direction either. Reasonable moderation.

Tell Dave happy birthday from Texas!

Welder report....I got the engine separated from the welder. Bad news, I broke the rear flywheel adapter #7 trying to get it off. I had the 3 point puller tight, had heated it and still wouldn't budge. So I also started prying with a pry bar from the side and "click" the thing broke. There are no parts from Miller. (same as for the Syncrowave 250 at work)...I know the roughneck is old (40+ years), but the syncrowave is not that old (13 years) and I guess they'd rather sell a new Bobcat than stock parts for an old roughneck.. :( I would tell anyone this before they put a lot of hard earned cash out for a Miller, since they don't stock low turnover parts, I'd just buy a relatively cheap inverter style like Popgadget did. Everlast or something similar is my recommendation.

The print I showed earlier had some misgivings...It doesn't show the fan wheel very well. I tried to draw how the bolts went thru the fan, into the adapter. Easy to get them off from the underneath slot. Then I took out the 4 bolts that went thru the cast iron ring #15 which would contain the cast iron fan if it exploded. Took off all the rubber mounting bolts from underneath, then had to bend the sheetmetal bottom plate down, to get the motor and #15 off.

Glad I didn't have any money in it to speak of. Just time.

Sorry to hear that. I think that the key would be an impact to the loosened retaining bolt. But that is assuming that it is seated on a tapered shaft, not a straight one.
I agree completely about Miller. My Primeweld inverter welds so much nicer than my old Miller DialArc HF that there is no comparison. But it is 40 years newer.

36° right now...high in the low 40's today.
Heading in to work in a couple hours to do a new hire orientation. Stepdaughter will be heading to work about 10 or so, and I should be heading home about the same time. Wifey's confident she'll be ok for an hour or so.
She's staring to get around the house on own. Going through doorways is tough, so little clearance between door frames and the wheelchair

Coffee is done brewing. 32° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 47° with sunny skies. Got all the fallen branches picked up. Not as many as I thought there was. So I punched holes in generator transfer switch box and mounted the 2 meter boxes. Nex is wire them up to box input wires. Not sure if I will get that done today. Will have to see how the day goes.
Very bright moon yesterday evening. Full moon will be this coming Saturday.

Good morning, low 35 and high to 41°F. Wind SW 8 mph. mainly sunny.

I have no clue what the pam will do at 40, mainly because at that temperature I don't plow.
The City of Toronto wanted their roads cleared from curb to curb (the contract said so), then they bitched because the snow would go onto the sidewalk which was right next to the road. It didn't matter what you did, they bitched. Well they can ***** all they want now at someone else.
York Region was the same way. The only pleasurable plowing was on the highways for the MTO. They would only ***** when you went over a bridge and dumped the snow on the road below. Yet they all said 'push it back as far as you can'.

Today is an energy conservation day.

Have a safe day all

37 going up to 52.
sitting here with stomach grumbling, fasting this morning for PET scan.
then will drop off bad snowblower battery back to dealer, which will make them happy, and then home

Kyle, sorry it broke and there are no spares.

25 outside this AM. Heading to 55.

Was outside mostly all weekend, awesome. Step counter says just doing things around the farm was 5 miles worth of walking each day.

Even managed a dump run. And recycled some metal, also.

Kyle, you have some talent trying to fix that engine.

Ron, did you see the planetary alignment last night?

Prayers for those recovering from the tornadoes.

Hope all have a good day and a better start to the work week. Be safe.
