Your pictures are always of the larger stuff that you have to split. Why do you not cut the 3-8" that you do not have to split that you could use these saws for?

Here’s where that stuff can go.

I've been advised not to use cedar shavings as bedding for baby chicks as it can cause respiratory problems. Of course they usually die of something else first...
I did use cedar this summer to get rid of the mites in my henhouse.
Just finished lining closets with cedar in an old lath and plaster home...

To my thinking cedar is an upgrade...

I agree. I was just commenting on what I've been reading. Cedar has always been a good place to store winter wool clothes to keep them from getting moth bitten.

I probably don't look too hard. But if you cut the smaller stuff why not use the buzz saw? I would think it would be quicker than a chain saw.

Biggest reason is, I cut all that small stuff in the field, as it's light and easy to handle. Pretty much all the longer limbs/tree's get pallet forked/grappled, and are moved to the wagon/trailer to be cut with a chainsaw.

It's just so much faster/easier to drive up to a guy holding a chainsaw, with several limbs at a time grappled on the forks, while he quickly saws them to length and they drop right where I want them, to end up in drying boxes.

It's just so much faster and less handling.

When it rains it pours. One tree into the hay field, another right on top of it on the next wind storm. Cleaned up the branches today.
