Massey Ferguson 130
I see this is the place to learn about my tractor. It appears to be a 1964, Model number 1308SNMY, Serial on the plate: 383204, serial number on the block and head is 37112460. I know she was made in France, and imported to Cumming Georgia. There is a "dealer" sticker still on the side of her which is for [Heard & Vernon Farm Equipment, Co. Inc. Route 1 Cumming, GA 887-5927] Which is no longer in business. She is great little tractor, however she has a couple issue I need to get sorted.

So far I have replaced all the gauges (nothing worked when I got it). I have replaced the brake pads (super easy with the slide out holders), and added new headlights. I had to add a light switch as well as the original was shot. The injector leak, and so does the water seperator. The injectors are not as bad as the water seperator. The water seperator drips slowly. Someone has tried to "fix" the WS and the bolts are stripped and seized. I need to replace all of the injectors (new or remanufactured) and the WS. Could anyone help me with part numbers (or a link) to purchase new ones. I also need to replace the rear light (I assume it was amber) . I have have the housing and ring but not sure what goes inside. Lastly someone has harvested the 130 hood emblems off of her. I would love to find something to put in place (does not have to be original)

Thanks in advance. Cameron

P.S. I am not going to factory restore her, but I want her to run well and live on. We have cleaned her, and given her a could of coats of clear coat. The patina paint looks cool.

For your injectors, try a local shop that works on large diesel trucks. They should have one or more technicians who rebuild injectors or can suggest appropriate replacements. I had my Mitsubishi injectors rebuilt in a shop in Pasco, WA. Caterpillar is about the only one they can't work on as Cat doesn't publish specs.

I went on to https://mytractor.us/ and spoke with a very knowledgeable lady named Sue. She was able to sell me a new water separator (the unit on the 135 is an exact replacement). She also sent me a schematic (I have included that here) of the injector / pressure pump assembly. She suggested I replace the 5/16 and ½ inch copper crush washers (which I can buy from advanced auto). There is also a leak-off line assembly for fuel collection that has been known to leak, so I will replace those rubber tubes as well. I do know the rear light is a 5 ½ inch sealed light, and I am searching for that now. Lastly the 130 emblem is very hard to find. No one makes them. If anyone happens across them (or knows something that can 3D print them) drop me a note.

I will let you know how things go with the above. As always I will take pictures.

Cheers Cameron

Hi Gerogia (or is it Cameron)

Nice to hear you are restoring a MF 130, I bought one to restore but when I got it home I found it was the industrial version of it a MF 2130, it took me 4 years to restore and that's it in the picture on the left hand side of this posting
Since I retired I now help other owners of the MF 130 trying to find parts for them, I buy and sell parts that I buy here in England also in France, Germany, Holland, and Ireland, if you go to eBay UK and search MF 130 you can see what I have in stock for sale
The bonnet medallions are there along with the front nose cone and badge bar, some parts I have specially made
The part number you require for the injectors is
1447768M1 and are available with a dealer I use in France and are 58usd each plus postage but you may be able to get them in the US
The year of manufacture of your tractor is 1967! the last serial numbers for 1966 was 381989 and the last serial number for 1967 was 38526, as yours falls in between these numbers it is defiantly a 1967 model

if I can be of further help just let me know

regards

GeorgiaCanuck,

Looks like you and I have the same little tractor. How were you able to get the year from your SN? I am still waiting for my shop manual (been in transit with USPS for weeks with no updates :( ). How did you get to your brakes? My brake pedals have absolutely no pressure. I have had some luck with finding parts on Ebay UK. Where did you get your gauges? The guy that owned mine before me tried to make her pretty for auction photos but didn't bother taping off anything and there's overspray everywhere.

Issues that I'm working on

1. No hydraulics
2. No brakes
3. Bad starter (one will be here next Monday)
4. Possible dirty fuel tank
5. Needs to be re-wired, wiring is old and cracking
6. Trying to figure out if this has the hot start option. The ignition key was only 2 position, have new one but don't know yet how to wire it.
7. Need a nose cone, maybe a new hood
8. PTO isn't working, I see a spline with worn teeth.

Shoot me now... :)

Hi Eric
As you can from see from my post above I do supply parts and help for the MF 130

I do have the brake pads in stock and do supply the nose cones but I don't have any in stock at the moment, I get these from both Germany and France but due to Brexit a lot of firms don't want to send them to England because of the paperwork involved however my daughter lives in Germany so i get them sent to her and she forwards them on to me

If you let me have your serial number I will date your tractor for you, as you can see from Georgia posting above there is a picture of the serial number plate (IMG_0921JPEG) if yours is missing I can tell you were to find it on the tractor

I can also send you the wiring diagram if that helps

No hydraulics is normally a stuck valve or the oil level in the hydraulics is to low or blocked filterers, mine would lift up but wouldn't go down and that was a stuck valve, but i've had them not working due to low oil

The ignition key is two way, turn it clockwise and only the starter motor is engaged, turning it anti-clockwise until you get a resistance activates the glow plug for cold starting, keep it there for 10 to 20 seconds then continue to turn it anti-clockwise and the starter will engage

The PTO shaft are known to twist and the teeth get worn, I have supplied a couple of PTO shafts to other owners but I don't know of any new ones available but the two I managed to supply were both in excellent condition although being second hand

I have attached the bonnet parts picture and can supply any of the pictures from my parts book showing the Brakes, PTO etc.

Hope this helps

Hi Bob,
Thanks for your reply. My key only turns clockwise (I might have stated 2 positions incorrectly. Position 1 is off, and 2 is start on mine). I have a Massey GC2300 that has the option to turn it counterclockwise to heat the glow plugs. I would love to have that wiring diagram. The Bonnet part I'm looking for now is #5 on your sheet. I think I have seen some on Ebay. As for the shaft I'll have to pull it out to have a closer look.

Model 1308SNMY
Serial Number 3866874

Hi Eric
The serial number you give has 7 numbers; MF 130 had only 6?
If you have 386871 then yours would be a late 1968 model
