Wow, that's pretty special right there. Those vintage small 5th wheels are funny.
So the excursion may make sense but the only reason to do it on a truck would be too much tongue weight? By adding weight (dolly) is there any possible way the trailer stays within safe maximum to weight? Also can't imagine what now happens with a failure of a tire on the dolly. Seems like a super bad idea.
From the half you can see I'm guessing it's only 20-25' long. A modern one that size wouldn't top 8k lbs, easily half ton towable. Might have payload issues, but not horrible. Probably a bit much for any SUV short of an Excursion or Suburban.Wow, that's pretty special right there. Those vintage small 5th wheels are funny.
Isn't the red tow dolly/pick up bed being towed backwards?
Could also be so that you can tow a fifth wheel behind a pickup truck that has a camper in the bed.So the excursion may make sense but the only reason to do it on a truck would be too much tongue weight? Being it was video I wonder if it was intentional. Or just a moron on the fork lift.I dont know the story behind this, but can guess what the convo was..
This was my thinking as well. The convo afterwards probably wasn't very pleasant though.Looks like the truck owner filming, given how close to the truck they are. I'm guessing they and forklift driver devised this plan to avoid dealing with the tailgate (stuck?) and or to avoid hand loading anything. Quite idiotic, though.
It looks more like a Ram on the tailgate, not the Ford badge. That looks really top heavy.
But all Ford trucks are top heavy. The owners all have big heads.![]()
