Now I'm up to three chores...
reminds me on the way out this morning to buy a lottery ticket
Don needs that garage filled with a new toy.
$635 million coming your way Drew. Of course the tractor will cause me to buy a few acres and then a barn and . . . . here we go again . .
Have you started construction on your shed?

That unit is too nice to have such a subservient name. I think we need to come up with a much more elegant name for your "caretaker unit".

Good idea.
Suggestions?

Caretaker Cottage
Steward Studio
Landscape Lord

Don, my one lucky number all ready. Shed will be next week some time.
worked for four hours at church, came home very sore from sitting and rolling around on flagstone as we fixed
the two wood pillars. Nothing was plumb, nothing was repeatable so we cut one piece at a time and got all eight done in two hours.
I have to go back and sand them after the construction adhesive fully dries.

then home and unload a whole carload of tools, trying not to throw my back out picking up the air compressor and then
the 12" chop saw. On the way home had to stop for the local tourist train doing their positioning near Street Road.
They go into New Hope, load up with passengers and then head back this way, turn around and back they go.
Been a long time since I've been on this train.

then home for a little rest, and a short but nice visit at my brother's home for a glass of wine sitting outside.
Just lovely out, interrupted by loud rushing noises we all recognized, and sure enough, the hot air balloon floated by

This was reported by Sen. Ron Johnson - WI the other day.
A study from the UK Health Authority found that 63% of Covid deaths in the past 7 months are among “fully vaccinated“.

This seems to contradict that.

Rather chilly, clammy day...

All the planned chores done. The carpet cleaning went OK, but next time I'll want to pre-treat before using the carpet cleaner. The stains were mostly from Margeaux peeing or defecating. Being stressed, she had lost most of her housebreaking. It's a bummer, but it's also what can be expected from a pup...especially after a week like we've had.
Tomorrow (Sunday), I expect to rig the snowblower to the tractor's 3PH, give it a grease job and prep it. Probably another month before snow, but one never knows

Glad your showing patience with Margeaux, Roy. Must have been very stressful losing her new Mom so quickly. If was for you and you are already house trained

60F and cloudy @ 23:00, had a little light rain earlier for a brief period. 60F will probably be the low overnight, and low temps will remain in the 60's for the next week ... so a bit of a warm up.

Past two days have been busy ... not even sure I can remember it all ... lol ...

Yesterday I did get all the compost material that needed re-screened done and that area largely cleaned up. Raking done on the new planting bed on east side of the frog pond, took debris up to compost pile, also watered the west planting bed with sprinkler set up.

Then dug out 15 Stella D'Oro sets and got those transplanted to the border of the planting bed on the east side of the house. About half done with that. Watered all of them too, plus the hosta and rhododendrons that were already there, and applied E-Coriganite to hopefully keep the deer at bay until they root.

Was really surprised at how deep the Stella D'Oro's had rooted ... they were way down in the soil in the that little bed at the southeast corner of the house.

Also got 1/2 of the lower front mowed.

Today I put scratcher tooth circular saw blade on the FS 66 and took it and the HT 101 pole saw over to the neighbors with the Cub and dump cart.

Cut down a bunch of brush (multi-flora rose and swamp dogwoods) back in her woods with the FS 66 and trimmed some low-hanging branches over her dog kennel. Kennel is overgrown with climbing vines and will be taken down as soon as we can clear all the growth off of it.

Brought the Cub back over to the house with another load of "treasure": a couple of nice metal sawhorses (although rusty), bunch of new wire on spools, a wide aluminum shovel head that needs a new handle, a stainless steel mud tray for drywalling, and various other items.

Then, since the pallet forks were already on the Kubota at that point, I moved those 5 pallets of firewood down near the barn. Also brought that other pallet of "treasure" down from the shop, to consolidate the stuff in the dump cart.

After that put the grapple back on the Kubota and headed back over and picked several piles of brush and trimmings, popped some roots, knocked over a 25' tall dead tree, and used the top jaw to back drag what brush I had cut in the woods. That worked ok, but wasn't as thorough as I wanted so I made a quick trip back to the hose and swapped out the box blade for the landscape rake and headed back over.

Worked on clearing out the debris in the woods until about 19:00 and then gathered up the tools and came home.

After I got home I unhooked the dump cart from the Cub and mowed the other half of the lower front ... mostly in the dark with the lights. Got that done just about the time The Woman was arriving with the pizza.

After dinner I came back out and it had started to rain.

Took the Kubota over to the pole barn and took the grapple off and then came back over to the house and put the pallet forks back on. Then got the one (consolidated) pallet of treasure and the 5 pallets of firewood moved into the barn.

Still have one more pallet to move out of the garage tomorrow so I'll have enough room to do the service on the Kubota.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend ... (y)
