good morning all
cool morning, 46 out going up to mid 70's today, should be a nice day.
going to be a busy one too.
I meet head of our church at 8:30am for a security walkthrough, trying to think like bad guys trying to
get into our Nursery School. We are likely to invest in more tech, better electronic locks, etc.
Then at 9am I meet at least one helper and we start the little wood column project using pvc boards.
I hope to be done by noon; he's a much better carpenter than I am so likely will make good time.

got the shed unloaded onto driveway, huge box, over 400#, two of us couldn't move it on gravel so we
hooked up the JD lawn mower to it, along with a tow rope, and dragged it out of the trailer. That worked nicely actually though we had to keep
putting boards underneath so it wouldn't dig into the gravel. As I was pulling that giant box I was wondering if the Tuff Torq trans in this mower was
designed for this, but it worked fine. Gosh I miss my tractor...................................................

hope you all have a great weekend.
Paul, that's a fine looking airplane, sweet ride.
Now that one I don't think you can land in your field.

50° right now...low 60's as the high and off and off rain showers.
Margeaux is lying on the floor behind me, chewing on a "bone" (plastic, I think). This week has been very stressful on her...all of us, actually. But, particularly on her. A new home, new people and then, a pretty significant emergency (wife's breaking a leg). She's regressed from her training and acclimation. Dogs, as most of you know, are very empathetic...and they don't like change. She's been somewhat destructive and has had a reversal on the house breaking. Going to have to work on this...

Main chore (probably the only one) is a dump run. I bought a carpet shampoo machine, so I'll assemble that today too. Then, guess we'll see how it works. Thinking about it just now...be a good weekend to rig the snow blower....
Now I'm up to three chores...

After that, considering the weather forecast, probably hang out and watch some movies...

49 going to 81.

Glad you had a nice birthday flight, Pop.

Congrats on the new Mule, Sodamo.

Rip, glad you're back.

Roofers finished yesterday. They did a nice job, and complete clean up. I let them put their sign out on the road...good people to work with...we got a great quality roof system, competitive price, and haven't paid anything for it. :) They took no down payment, and when I asked about settling up yesterday, they said the boss never accepts payment until after the first rain, just to make sure 100% okay. Another company that bid on the job wanted 50% down, and 50% on completion, and was over double the price for the same brand of shingles/underlayment/etc. I even got 5 pallets to use for firewood out of the deal.

It was nice to have a quiet evening, since they worked until dark each night.

46 outside this AM, heading to lower 70's.

Ahh....I gave up on trying to catch up with you all. I am glad you all are still around and healthy into the project of life.

Yesterday was interesting, trying to still clean up the demolished farm building area for the drain field/septic system project. I had folded the metal tin roofing over to create 6 bundles of metal that would fit into the wife's Chevy. Not use to a "regular" bed. Anyhow, at around what seemed like 50 pounds a piece, with nails, sharp edges and just a wicked non-grabbing shape, off to the metal recycler we went. That's after copious amounts of card board and tarps in the truck bed. I had planned on land fill, but sometimes they want you to heave stuff in bins...so that was not really an option. So on the road we go, a 30 minute trip turned into an hour each way....did I say the construction boom is here? Yeah.....

Short story version, I get to the recycler, weigh in and out, collect my 8 dollars, and heck...it is not even ice cream money. I thought the metal prices were going up? LOL.

And people wonder why crap ends up on the road side.

Back at home, only one scratch to the truck bed. Wife is happy metal is out of here. I look at the grass...needs mowing again...and off to the milk house we go. I have used it as a workshop these past few years so it is full of tools and wood and whatnot. Dimensions are about 12X32. We spend the better rest of the day, cleaning that out. Lots of t-111 to the burn pile (scrap wood from 4 run-ins) and lots of left over wood to be reused on a wall that probably needs some relocation. Did I mention the SO signed off on a new garage in exchange for the milk house? 😁 Awesome wife.

Today is a dump run day, probably mow some more, and return to milk house clean up.

On the milk house it will be when funds are available. I need to close up two doors, reside the outside, run water to it, bust up the concrete floor to do that, level the concrete floor, new windows, upgrade electric and add a bathroom. There is also a well house right next to it that needs to be gone, so I need a plumber engineer type to give me some ideas on how-to clean that mess of pipes and pressure tanks up. I figure the milk house can absorb that infrastructure. My project run rate to completion averages 18 months, LOL. This will be fun.

Hope all enjoy the weekend, and have a great start to it.

Be safe.
