Tuesday's rain has now moved to Monday night, Ron, and somehow lost 0.01". It was only 0.06" to start with, so I won't be surprised if it disappears altogether.
Sounds like new LS dealer may have some competition, David. Or he's trying to take advantage of the pandemic and do a little gouging.
Had a whole house surge suppressor at the old house, Drew. Brought it with me, but never installed it. Now I'm not even sure where to look for it if I did want to hook it up. And with the solar setup, not sure where it would go, either. Probably still at the utility service entrance, but the leads in from the generator and solar panels should probably have their own as well. Looks like I'm stuck with UPSs on all the electronics to buffer the voltage sags coming from the A/C and pumps, though.
Found a new crack in the same place as yours, in the great room, yesterday Billie. I use paintable caulk on 'em so they don't come back. Hate having to bring the extension ladder inside to get to it, though, so it might be a while before it gets fixed.
Chicken was up a buck at the grocery store yesterday, Kyle. I had plenty in the freezer so gave it a pass, but somehow some rather spendy Ahi found it's way into the basket at Costco. Just looked too good to pass up, and a little goes a long way around here. But yes, inflation is taking off, and not just at the grocery store. #2 Diesel is over $4.50/gallon here, but premium gasoline is knocking pretty hard on the five buck a gallon door.
Shiner has their Oktoberfest beer out now, so some of that followed me home, too.

CV19 cases still going up at the local hospital, and now they're cancelling elective surgeries because there aren't enough beds. Not a good time to get hurt here.
Very few people wearing masks in town yesterday, and my old N95 needs a new one it's so dirty. I have plenty but I like the straps on this one better. I think it came from McMaster, so I'll see today if they're selling them to plain ol' folks like me again.
Got a late start on the shopping trip having to wait around for the FedEx guy to show up. Missed the sunset and drove home in the near dark. Days are getting shorter very quickly, but don't seem to be much cooler.
Had a chance to test drive the 4-in-1 yesterday, with mixed results. Kept getting rocks jammed between the two bucket halves, and the dirt was so dry, like brown flour, it would sift out of the crack between the two. Mostly got around that by curling the bucket back all the way, but it's a problem that will take care of itself once we get some rain. At 1100 lbs. I can really feel the weight out front, and I'd sure like to find another chunk of railroad track to bolt onto the box blade for ballast. Was gonna swing by the junk yard yesterday to look for some, but got too late a start.
