Hey all,
So I'm in the market for a new tractor and I had my mind set on a Kubota but I've been researching the kioti tractor and seems pretty good, so my question is Kubota or kioti? Anybody owe and have any information they could provide in helping me in my decision would be greatly appreciated thank you
I think few people own or have owned both. Most have one or the other and probably like what they have so will recommend it. I, for example, bought Kubota Grand L 3940 almost 10 years ago and never any regrets. My property is challenging, forested, rocky terrain in the Piedmont, so the tractor has had a harder life than most. Still, it has withstood it all with good maintenance and never a repair. Best I can do is say the Kubota is a tough beast, but no direct experience with Kioti.

We are a KIOTI dealer in South East Michigan. We are getting tractors from time to time, and if you are in our area we can help.
Things people like about KIOTI is the Lift Capacity of the Loader, and there is a good warranty 2 years front to back plus 4 years on the Powertrain. Implements 1 year. All implements are manufactured by Woods for KIOTI.

I bought a DK4510 Manual Shuttle ~10K less than comparable Massey and Kubota.

That is a really nice table you got there. I've been looking at a similar list, which seems to be what the OP is also looking at. I technically have a subcompact and a utility (Massey 2135) but I'm wanting something HST and 4wd to replace both. I keep eyeballing the Massey 2850M HST. If I got the baby tractors in the list I'd keep the Massey 2135. It's about the same size as a 2850M, which is what I keep comparing everything to. How do you like your Kioti? What keeps bringing me back to the Kioti is that If you treat the tractor as a consumable, you can replace it a lot faster for the same dollar than a lot of other brand tractors.

My list:
Kubota LX2610 HST
Kubota L3901 HST
Kubota L4060 HST
Kubota L4760 HST

Kioti CK2610 HST
Kioti DK4710SE HST
Kioti DK5310SE HST

Massey 1825E HST
Massey 1835M HST
Massey 2850M HST

Willy, are planning on purchasing an LS tractor?
If so, we’ll need you to start posting videos…

Mike
My Branson dealer had been an LS dealer. He had nothing bad to say about the tractors, except that they ARE computer controlled, and that turned off too many buyers.

I’ve had both and prefer Kioti over Kubota. You may also want to look at Yanmar. The 10 year warranty and a lower price point are hard to beat if your dealer is decent.

I rejected Kubota from my shortlist very early because of the pedal arrangement. Of the rest, Kioti won out in the end and I am very happy.
I two opted away from the Kubota because if the tredal peddle. It was a deal breaker for me. The Kioti dealership network in my area sucks. (Nearest one is an hour and half drive). For that reason I ended up with a JD. They have 5 dealerships within an hour from me. I know the JD was more expensive but I know in 20 years from now if I need service,I will have a dealer close to turn to. Also I know it will retain a very good resale value.

Any gear transmission, to me, is better than an HST. Between power loss in PTO to my own experience with gear shifts. The L has 8F/8R. That is on the low end for some of the machines in its class.
There is less than 2hp difference between the HST version and the gear drive on my tractor. Not enough difference for me to give up the pros of the HST.

I agree with TmbrWlkr. I have had a New Holland Boomer for 11 years and very little went wrong with it and still going with 5000 hours. But New Holland doesn't make the same quality any more. Parts delays are not company specific. Everybody has a delay now. It took me a week to find an oil filter for a 2019 Chevy. My Kioti NX 4510 does all I want and more. Dealer is Half of your purchase and my dealer is beyond great. Mowbility of Ankeny. If I had to get another one it would be Kioti again.

When I am buying a sophisticated tool that I expect to use hard for decades, buying cheaper is way down near the bottom of my own list of most important features.
Couldn't agree more. Yes we all want to get a good deal. But end the end to me it's more important to get a machine that suits my needs and that I can depend on for decades.

Pretty sure all JD dealers have a sell and service area and they cannot sell or service outside those areas. That was the way it was explained to me anyways and since the local dealer was thousands more than the one 30mins away, it shied me away from JD.
