Good morning!!!!

75 going to 86...saw the sun this morning for 10 minutes through a hole in the storm.

What a great morning to read TBN...Roy, congrats on that new dog...we've had 3 Labs and they were all wonderful...and Ron, how nice to be able to spend time with your son after so long.

RS, I agree you have the lawn for lawn bowling or croquet...very pretty.

Thomas, I'm sure you didn't do anything to deserve that chewing out ...:devilish:.

Roasted some newly arrived coffees yesterday. Was getting low, so ordered 25 lbs. The humidity stayed high all day, so it was 4:30pm before the grass was dry so I could take the backpack sprayer for a walk...checked the radar...no rain anywhere to be seen...but sure enough less than an hour after I finished, a popup downpour. But At least I got some string trimming done before it started.

Wife brought home 50 lbs of sugar from Costco along with the usual 40 lb bags of bird food, and even something for us to eat. I guess we have almost enough sugar to last until the hummingbirds migrate.

Good Morning.
72 and going up about 10 degrees with rain showers and thunderstorms.

Yesterday was raining when I got up, but actually dried up later on.
Started out with breakfast with a friend, picked up $110 per sheet birch plywood, and got to work on the speakers. I did get one finished and off with FedEx.
I actually spent a fair amount of time in the tractor with my helper. We mowed, and then put the loader and 4-1 bucket and counter weight on, and moved brush for his dad that took down a tree. The 4-1 is handy, but it’s no grapple, and made me impatient for the one I’m waiting for from EA.
Finished up the mowing with the Lazer, dropped the counterweight and 4-1 and dismounted the loader, then went inside and put my feet up.
Then my neighbor called and asked if I could move and break up a shed for him. So, mounted the loader, put the weight and forks on and off I went. It was pretty easy to pitch the shed up and tumble it to his burn pile, then break it up with the forks. He lit it off and it’s all gone now.
Pretty productive day overall, and lots of grandson time.

66°F and foggy this morning, going up to 90° today.

Congrats on the new fuzzy butt, Roy. Looks like a sweetie.

Condolences on the loss of your friend, Ken.

Ken, sorry for loss of friend.

Paul, great pics of grandson

fun ride in brother's M5, drove it up to Peddlers Village and we swapped positions in the parking lot
with the local police car sitting right there, and we all waved. Needless to say I exited quietly but the car was
stuck in manual so that took some grabbing for paddles and more revs than I wanted. Brother did not know how to get from manual to D.
Gearshift knob is technological wizardry and basically a joy stick. I thought how it worked on the Audi and just tapped the lever to the right.
Voila, into D. Going to be quite a learning curve on this car. He has only had it one day.
Felt like driving a serious big block car with lots of torque which it surely has.
Felt heavy driving it, not lightweight, built for very high speed which is silly around here.
At least it sounds good.

picked the first of the vining indeterminate tomatoes as stage two of my two stage tomato booster rocket
is taking off. Also picked another patti pan squash

have both quotes in for JD and Kubota. Need to spend time today doing a spreadsheet comparison.
Much higher quotes than estimated, 650 dollar steel surcharge for this implement, 350 dollar steel surcharge for that one.
Maybe this is not such a good time to buy this equipment though both dealers seemed to have discounted about 10 percent.
I used to get 15 off. Pretty sure that won't fly any more.

87, low was 72, high says 89 but I doubt it’ll stop there unless it clouds up.
Got my trailer wire plug on the Ram changed finally, mowed FIL’s grass yesterday, ours the day before.

Concrete crew coming tomorrow to pour three new ramps to various buildings. $1800 for three 8x4 ramps. Ouch!
Motor home gets a coat of wax tomorrow if the weather holds. First real trip is in a couple of weeks. I was wondering how Gracie would react to getting in and being in it. She bounced up the steps, walked down the hall and went to sleep in the floor. Apparently she wasn’t intimidated. El Camino goes to restoration shop next week, about 10 days after the original estimated date, no big deal, just so it’s ready for spring.

People who bought the land in NC, called to tell me that my brother is trying to run a fence about ten feet on their side of the line.
At 77 you’d think he’d have better things to do, he’s got 46 acres, two large ponds and a sand pit that he leases counting what he inherited and the parcel he bought. I guess he wants another 2000 square feet. I guess I’ll call him even though it’s not my problem. They say you can’t choose your family.

Ken, sorry about your friend, that’s always hard when our contemporaries start passing.

Roy, good choice on the doggie!

Everyone be safe and well and be careful in this heat and humidity.

71F and cloudy, heading up to a high of 78F. Rain has stopped and has moved off to the north and east.

0.22" of rain yesterday, 0.38" since midnight ... at least we did not get dumped on by Fred.

Ten Day looks promising - 0 days with with a chance of precipitation greater than 50% and highs in the low to mid 80's.

Yellow squash vine looks like it's at the end of the road.

Refill feeders on menu first thing.

Then onto coring, after I refuel the Cub.

Beyond that might attempt to get that pallet of retaining wall blocks unloaded out of the van.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)
