Bird,

Those gutter guards look like a decent product, and without seeing your home or knowing the lineal footage of gutters you're dealing with, I don't consider the price you were quoted as being unreasonable.

And I'd guess that a screened product might be better than the one I opted for, as far as dealing with the catkins.

My sales lady had some samples of the gutter guards of others, as well as their own. Now I'm sure no expert, but those guards I've seen advertised on TV, as well as the one shown by rswyan appear to be sheet metal with holes. It seems to me that it would be hard to look and see whether anything had accumulated underneath it. The one I'm supposed to get seemed much more like a screen, but incredibly thick, hard metal. You may certainly know more than I do about whether one type is better than another, but I liked the one Home Craft is selling best.

RedNeckGeek said, "I can tell you what I paid for my gutters, Bird, but the price would be ten years old. I'm interested in how well RS's leaf guards work. Seems to me the designs I've seen would be as good at directing rainwater over the gutter mouth as they are the leaves."

OK, how much was it back then?
I hope you're sittin' down.

$1176.65 for about 140' of formed on site aluminum gutters and five downspouts. Installed, no gutter covers. $55/downspout, about $6.40/ft for the gutters if my math is right.

I know there's been inflation over the past 10 years, but I don't think enough to account for the gutter guards. At least she was good lookin'... :ROFLMAO:

Morning all, figured out what the allergy problem was, the laundry detergent (Free and Clear) obviously isn't .
Used fir 14 years, first time and issue-bought another brand and have been rewashing Everything in the house.

PJS - Happy Birthday!

Neighbor who I grew up with back in NY is in hospital on respirator and not doing well. He had lung cancer 2 years ago and this causes him to be susceptible to pneumonia. Waiting every day for updates-

RNG - sorry to hear your Solar company has wandered off. Seems you had to do quite a bit of work to even get them to do the basic install work.

Thomas-sorry to hear wife unpleased. Been there way too many times.

Stay safe and be well

This is the fawn I saved from the fence, no more limp and fawn/mom come back to say high a few times a week.

Just finished rolling the front again and about to head back out and hit around the house before the heavy rain gets here (45 minutes to an hour)

Probably will core it again tomorrow.

After that probably give it another does of pelletized lime in the coming days.

Woman just headed out to get more gas for the Cub.

Didn’t get eyes dilated, i think a first with this Dr for me.
Picked up 5 gal paint at HD, WOW, 210 bucks. Seems it wasn’t that long ago I was complaining it went over $100.
Had lunch at one our nicer eateries, figure it has probably been 5+ years since we last ate there. Very good.

Kink in back acting up. Just might take an ibuprofen and take a rest day.
