Good Morning!!!! 76F @ 5:00AM. Sunny. High 102F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.
Another bad air day, at least for this morning. Yesterday it cleared out around noon, so I'm hoping for more of the same for today.
Were you close enough to hear the burners roar on the balloon, Ron?
Those sheep must have been hungry, and strong, to do that to your fence, Eric.
Looks like you found a little bit of adventure there, Fuddy. Thanks for sharing.
Neither the truck nor the van will fit in the garage, Paul. They're both too tall to get under the door. No room in there for much besides a bunch of motorcycles and shop equipment anyway.
Yesterday went a little better with the conduit than the day before, except for forgetting a coupler on the second piece, and having to pull the wire back out and redo it. Could'a had three pieces installed, but instead ended up with only two for the day. It was another scorcher, so I knocked off a little early and drank about a half gallon of ice water before dinner.
Still two pieces of conduit left for today, and I need to install a junction box before I can finish them. So I'll start with that this morning, after the smoke clears out.
So far the firefighters have managed to keep the small town of Greenville from burning, but the fire is now close enough that Mandatory Evacuations were issued for the much larger town of Chester. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for today and tomorrow, with even stronger winds and single digit humidity, so the firefighters have really got their work cut out for them.
