Joined here a few months back or so asking about dump trailers. Decided to hold off and by luck found a decent 77 Squarebody one ton dump truck for a lot cheaper than a dump trailer.

This is my third trailer and think I got it figured out after having two different ones before this one.

14k electric tilt
22 foot
Drive over fenders
Eight D rings
12k Jack
15k Bulldog coupler
Winch plate in the floor
16 inch G rated 14 plys
All led lighting and recessed taillight

I sold my 10k for more than I paid for it over a year ago and dropped down on this. Was told a four month lead time and got it in two.

so far the truck has worked out pretty well, I’ve made some money with it not even trying. I’m still in the market for a dump trailer down the road.

Nice setup maybe the OP will respond with REAL hauling numbers verses speculation numbers.

Well I own the same truck one body style newer so it’s a fairly accurate speculation.

It is not so much if it can haul it, it is if it can stop it. I have come out of a gravel pit with my 81 E350 dump with a 460 in it at 16K gross. Never again.

My ton handled alright at 16k. I rolled out at 17.9 one time and that was a never again moment. I don’t abuse my poor ton much anymore and use my heavier truck but the poor ton used to get abused regularly.

Agree, it was the first load I put on it and didn’t have a scale.

I just got a tilt trailer a while back. I wish I’d have done it years ago. It makes loading my mini x or skid steer a breeze. It also works well for my lawnmower which got hung on my previous equipment trailer ramps.

No doubt, a buddy and I borrowed one years ago to haul a old K5 blazer and I was sold after that on tilt trailers and knew that’s the route I’d go when I could buy one. Everything has its pros and cons, for my needs a tilt works fine.

I still have my deckover for jobs the tilt can’t do.

Did you mean F350?
My E350 is a van.
Yes, E350. It is an old ambulance chassis with box swap somewhere prior to my ownership. It has sticker in the door saying it was modified by Braun Industries.

I’m very happy so far.

My son has that machine and says it wont push snow very well and rides rough compared to his tire equipped SSV75 that he used to have. He plows commercial parking lots with a 80" snow bucket and says the tracks just spin. Other than that he likes it v/s his old S220 Bobcat.

There’s not much snow in TN. The wheeled machine rides over a positive bump like a curb better but a tracked machine rides over a negative bump like a rut better.
