Here, we have the habit of having a company barbeque at work before summer holiday.

Every year some videos appear of equipment abuse whilst drunk: Last year it was a German contractor who put his truck mounted slurry agitator in his swimming pool to create a whirlpool, this year it was a guy jumping his municipality lawnmower and breaking all windows..

Yeah, German beer and machinery are a good mix.

Not trying to argue but I must disagree. I cut my field once without the loader on and definately felt the difference. At the same average speed my back and gut hurt for 2 days afterwards. Never had that before or sense. So as far as your guarantee, it isn’t worth a thing to me as I can guarantee balancing the wieght differently with the loader does make it a smoother ride overall.

As far as my other smaller tractors go they all also seem to run smoother with the loader on but I do admit I haven’t cut the fields completely with the loader off each of them.

With the loader off doing any travel they seem to bounce more on the front end then they do with it on. My smallest tractor I actually used to pick up a half bucket of dirt before mowing as it helped keep the ride better.

P.s. I hate spell checkers that change your words and entire meaning of the sentence
Removing the bucket/grapple off the loader does help with the ride on my tractor as the loader arms don't bounce as much. Haven't tried it w/o the loader to compare that way though.

Probably just posed for fun on a junker truck. Note the bumper and light hanging, and no license plate.

Nah. On a really big place (think Texas ranch) its reasonable to have a junker, not street legal truck dedicated to haul stuff out to a jobsite.

I'm familiar with two similar examples: a graveyard near me has a junker pickup that their backhoe dumps dirt into temporarily while digging a grave. No doors on the truck, no need for lights, it barely runs. They get it out of sight until its time to bring back the dirt to fill the excavation.

The other example is from long ago. A '39 Ford Coupe missing its huge trunk lid, with the back used as a pickup. The kids on the thousand acre sagebrush cattle ranch could drive it as soon as they could see over the dashboard. They really abused it, the muffler was ripped off from going straight through sagebushes and it needed water each time it was taken out.

Both of those vehicles looked far worse than this truck. I think this is more common than some might assume.

That dozer pic made me think of another thread where a TBN member is building a heavy duty pickup bed cover...
but I see that it has already made it there. 👍
I suspect that it's sitting on something in the bed, not just the bed rails. It weighs at least 7500#, assuming that it's only a 350.
