good morning all
storms never did much here in Milton DE last night but not so at home.
Neighbor emailed me last night, power off, all my big flower pots blown over, might
have a bit of a mess to go home to this morrning.
At least it will be a nice day, sunny and in mid 80's.

drinking my friend's Sumatran dark coffee that will truly put hair on my teeth, and then
headed North around 9am. First headed to barber for an overdue haircut, then the lawn will surely need mowing.

averaged 34.8mpg on way down here on big roads. I just set the cruise at 6-7 over and let the world fly by me.

Toppop, next trip we will get together, this one complicated due to friend's schedule.
I look forward to it.

I couldn’t do it this time either, but I look forward to seeing you.

Mowed grass and was done by 10 AM. Already hot.
Have to get pop ups and tables out today so I can set up early Sunday, big car show tomorrow with our other club.
I have to take my FIL to the dentist after lunch, grocery pick up after that. Looks like grass cutting is going to be all for today.

Drew, safe travels.

Buppies, continued prayers.

RV friend had a noisy AC. Removed plastic cover. Found that fan had come loose from motor shaft. This allowed it to hit side of box fan assembly is in. Moved fan back to proper location on motor shaft. Tightened screw holding to shaft. Fixed. Put cover back on.

I pulled my cover off after the last post, big mud dauber nest on fan blade, which is what I figured it was. Got it out. Also 4 big wasp nests in top of cover. It’s quieter, but still noisy, should have tried to remove blade from shaft. . Don’t see the blade hitting anything, but lots of vibration. One of nuts holding fan motor was little loose.

No damage here. Hope you fellas over there in Bucks County PA survived undamaged. You made the news here this morning.

I can’t speak for Ken or Drew, but I got by unscathed, even though the graphics on the news placed it directly over me. Farther to the southeast got beat up.

Since The Tempest weather station records LUX light I watched it go down to 4 LUX which happened at 8:55 P.M. At that time the light is so dim that it is hard to distinguish if a snake on is the ground so I agreed.

Interesting Don - though I guess it depends too on how fast the light is falling. Doesn't it take about 20 minutes for your pupils to fully dilate?

Perhaps another test is needed, placing a blindfold over your eyes at 8:35. Take it off at 8:55 and then see how dark/light it looks. Then ponder over how different is the position of the sun in the sky compared to yesterday and make an adjustment for yet another test tomorrow, all the while singing :-

And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa
They're coming to take me away ho-ho hee-hee ha-haaa
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men
In their clean white coats
And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa

Good afternoon, after a lot of rain last night it kindly help off today while a man came to measure up our windows for replacement double glazing units. Many have failed in not much more than 10 years.
He told me that at the moment there is a shortage of glass, the main manufacturer has been struggling with only half the factory running due to Covid issues. At least there are no electronic chips involved !

My wife lets all sorts of plants go to seed to allow birds to have an extra meal. This year a few unwanted leeks have been added to their menu. Bees are appreciating the flower heads too.

69°F and .2 inches rain

Guys prevailed at H&F but it was a squeaker. Only 85 points.

The tamales and flautas were an excellent meal. Heated some tortilla chips in the air fryer.

Replaced battery in old craftsman mower but running rough. Need to get née plugs I guess.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Home sweet home.
Lot of electric company trucks out on Rt 29 south of Lambertville, lot of flaggers and one ways, I bet they got tore up
there yesterday.
I got lucky. Some leaves to pick up in the yard, no sticks, and my tomatoes clearly had a rough
night, like they had been out drinking... ;) and were leaning quite a bit. I tidied them up and came in to change.
Headed out to mow.

all my outdoor planter pots were put back where they belonged by helpful neighbor across street, lady from fire company I have known
forever. She's lived there 51 years and there's not a thing she misses. A one lady neighborhood watch and gossip queen. She isn't friendly with either of her
next door neighbors, so me being right across the street seems to please her. Nice to have old friends...
Her common law husband, been together 20+years, was a local Solebury cop who was severely crippled in
a motorcycle accident. Bad limp and wobble, but ok upstairs which is what counts. Popgadget already had his version
of this and I'm sure the memory sticks with you.

But motorcycle riding is usually optional and recreational, though I remember riding to work as a teenager for a summer job
on a 50cc Harley Davidson ring ding dinger. The frame on that bike flexed in turns, it was awful, Harley just badge labeled some
inexpensive Italian 2 stroke bike I believe, no additional engineering or value. I also had a 175 Bultaco for riding on our farm.
They sure are fun to ride.
I lost interest when I spent half my career analyzing risk for insurance companies.
