Ron, I was looking at map of Michigan and it looks like I go North on 75 right past you all the way North. Past the Hamtramck auto plant, must be a lot going on there right now, past Royal Pontiac (is it still there?). Looks like road parallels Woodward Ave. Drove that once long time ago at a family wedding near Detroit. Hope to be up your way next summer. Likely with a car but who knows.

My friends here in DE are planning on their first rv and we discussed that a lot last night.
I'll get another one, but not while I'm single. Just too hard for me to do it all at this point, sharing would be good.

While the best route may look like I 75. Best route is US 23 from Toledo North. I live 10 miles East of intersection of US 23 and I 96. You will see a auto/truck plant as you get to where US 23 and I 75 meet in flint. Royal Pontiac no longer exist. I believe the building is still there.
I 75 does not take you by Hamtramck plant. Miss it by 1 mile East on I 94.

75 and clear, going to 90...local weatherman promised us rain yesterday, saying he was superseding the NWS forecast...he tried, but no cigar.

Mostly, I had to look up Bucyrus...interesting.

My 6 weeks of operation recovery ends this morning, so will probably get some seat time today...humidity is supposed to drop around lunch time, so will feel good outside.

Good Morning!!!! 82F @ 4:30AM. Sunshine and clouds mixed. Hot. High around 105F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Seems as though those Dog Days are already here. Smoke did clear up some overnight, but is on its way up again. Already at unhealthy levels, soon the air filter will be whirring away.

Last night thunderstorms rolled over the Dixie Fire area, starting half a dozen new fires with lightning strikes. Pretty sure they have the same problem farther south, too. At least up here, firefighters are already in place, and have already started to respond.

Enjoy your seat time, Billy. Got any big hikes planned?

I bet that big doe can eat a lot of landscape plants, Ron.

Hope you have a smooth trip home, Drew, and the mess waiting for you isn't too bad.

The front gate has been acting up again, so I had a long conversation with a tech support person and came away with a checklist of things to check. Everything came out OK, so I called again from the gate on the cell phone, and amazingly got reception. New tech had me check the battery voltage while the gate opened, and I saw it drop to 11.99V. He said that was too low, and would result in erratic operation of the gate. The battery passed a load test, but only showed 75% State of Charge. Seems like the little 10W solar panel at the gate isn't keeping up with the needs of the opener, so this morning I ordered a 50W replacement. In the mean time, the battery went on a Battery Saver overnight, and I'm hoping that holds it until the new panel shows up. All the smoke in the air is not helping things much.

Got ahold of the neighbor with the water truck, and he's OK for early next week. Now need to set that up with the neighbor that has the big well. My well is still pumping a little water, but erratically, and not nearly enough to fill that big tank. I haven't done the calculation yet, but the water level in Lake Oroville is probably below the level of the well pump now. It's nearing a historic low, and that's not helping things, either.

Smoke or no smoke, I need to get started on the wiring for the big tank today. Never pulled 560' of wire before, and I'm sure it'll be "interesting".

TGIF gang!🍻

Buckeye, late for work after doing work?
.

Yep, late for work because I worked on camper while it was cool and humid, instead of hot and humid. Same thing I’m doing now. Got the last 2 rivets in the awning, tires inflated. Just gotta load truck then hook up.

Nice breeze at times, sitting in the shade of the barn.

AC unit is loud, like the motor is unbalanced. Puts out cold air. Neighbors at campground won’t like it.

74°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 84°. We'll not get out of the 70s for three of the next four days. Some very active storms rolled through last night starting around 10pm, and worked the dogs into a frenzy. One is absolutely terrified of them, and tried several times to crawl under the bed (where she simply doesn't fit). Wife eventually took her to the basement and let her stay down there.

Not as much sleep last night as I would have preferred.

No damage here. Hope you fellas over there in Bucks County PA survived undamaged. You made the news here this morning.

I would have preferred to use the tractor and rotary cutter, Ron, but it's still too soft in that area. The Cub Cadet trimmer did the job, and I needed the exercise anyway.

Good. morning! 81˚F, humidity83%, HI86, clear skies heading to the mid 90s.

Light
52070 lux

Yesterday's evening thunder and .15" rain delayed Whipper's walk till 8P.M. The trail sign said open till dark. So that led to the question what time is dark. I looked for a while on the internet till I found a source that defined dark as 4 LUX. Since The Tempest weather station records LUX light I watched it go down to 4 LUX which happened at 8:55 P.M. At that time the light is so dim that it is hard to distinguish if a snake on is the ground so I agreed.

RV friend had a noisy AC. Removed plastic cover. Found that fan had come loose from motor shaft. This allowed it to hit side of box fan assembly is in. Moved fan back to proper location on motor shaft. Tightened screw holding to shaft. Fixed. Put cover back on.

Frist cup of coffee taste good. 63° with a few clouds this morning. Heading to 72° with mix of sun and clouds. Never got to my projects yesterday. Helped neighbor put new fan in his fridge. So I have to add grocery shopping to yesterdays chores for today.
No lillies to chew on. On my way out of here.

Rene, hope your contractor finds good prices on wood.

Don, you need more seat time. Practice makes perfect.

Alien, lots of water with new well.

Popgadget, that a lot of rain. Hope it did not last long.

PJ, that's what my field looked like before I cut it. Need to do it again soon.

Randy, is carport/pole barn going to be high enough to put motorhome in?

Buckeye, late for work after doing work?

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Don, wall will be 11’ I believe.
