Good morning!!!!

Was still having trouble with the soft start yesterday when I decided to take everything off of the A/C unit, compare the factory wiring with the diagram that came with the soft start, and make my own diagram that looked like the parts I had in my hands and was labeled with the actual color of the wires I was working with. Followed my diagram and had it working in twenty minutes. ……Maybe I can find them selling for less somewhere, now that I know what to look for.

That is not unlike my experience with the first one I installed. Once I decided to just follow the schematic instead of the directions, all was well. I think the typical dirt road is not connecting the run winding to the capacitor via the surestart. If you leave the capacitor connected to the run winding directly, it won’t work.
Did you figure out where you went wrong?
I get them here-

Spent some time fussing with the craftsman mower, doesn’t want to stay running. Maybe I’ll drain tank just to be sure no water, grrrrrr.
So later start than anticipated and did get plumbing connected, but won’t pressure test until tomorrow, then I can close it in and do the thinset. Yea, I know I could have just done the other walls today, but justified my procrastination by wanting to make just a single batch.

I did have pairs of boots with the straps connecting to the rings on each side. I had black ones and I had tan ones too. I had Chukka Boots in Middle School.

Picked up lawn mower battery from Costco, could not find U1R, just U1. Used it anyways, just had to a strench the red wire to solenoid..
Now I don’t have to jump start it.
Still want to change the oil in the morning.

Mowed lawn and most of field until dark. Left the back that can’t be seen from house. Tomorrow Quick trip to take riding mower to Ohio. I’ll be “flying” thru Washington PA on 4 wheels popgadget.

On way home from work , someone decided to park their RV trailer on top of the guard rail in the center medium on I70.

I’ve been gone a few days.

Today, I changed the hydro oil, hydro filters, oil and filter and air filter in my ZTR. The filters were almost 3x the cost last time I had to change. From $7.59 a filter to $30 a filter. Wow!

Anyway, the changing went fine. It’s really kind of easy which suits my abilities to be honest. It was a nice distraction from work.

My wife and I have been too busy at the tennis facility. Lots of business and lots of associated issues. People issues are the worst. We pay $15/hr for people to sit at the front desk and sell snacks, beverages and collect court fees. That’s $30,000 per year. Apparently, in today’s environment, that is not enough to motivate anyone. Oh well.

Hope everyone’s been well.

up early, enjoying my first cup of coffee and groaned when I looked at weather forecast.
94 degrees today, who knows what heat index will be.

off to lumberyard early this morning to pick up a backer board for the water filter system going in next week.
This part I can do and not have the plumber paid over a hundred bucks an hour to do light carpentry.
Tinsman lumberyard has a 2x3 leftover piece they said they would give me for free.
Nice that I was once married to owner's sister...am well taken care of. And this will be the first time in a year their office at the lumberyard
is open and I can go in and poke around for hardware, screws, etc. For the last year you called in and they put your lumber out by front door so you could
pick it up. I've had a charge account there maybe 50 years?... All of the kids in their family went to school with my family and we have all known each other all our lives,
and our parents were on the school board together for many years. Small town stuff. But it sure will be nice to shake their hands again.

Figured when it was miserably hot this afternoon, good project to work in basement where it's about 65 degrees. Ahhhh.

71F and mostly cloudy @ 04:30, calling for a high of 79F today with 80% chance of thunderstorms. Under an Active Flash Flood Watch.

Woman "finished up" weeding northwest planting bed yesterday, then I raked it out and tweaked it a bit. Then she went back and did even more weeding ...

I worked in some Soil Sulphur around each of the four rhododendrons, watered that in, and pruned the largest one so it isn't quite so leggy.

Mowed around the edge of the bed. The edge will need sprayed, Sunday will be the earliest I can get to it (due to rain)

Hauled the last of the weeds and debris up and put it on the compost pile.

Refilled hopper feeder. Cleaned out and filled hummingbird feeder and rehung it, also refilled suet feeder that goes on that pole.

Glued another cross on the other end of the second bed watering rig. Next will be to glue on the tees on that have the risers with the sprinkler heads on them ... but I need to cut some short lengths of pic to do that. Missing one fitting that I need to complete it, that will be on the Menards order I'm about to place.

The Woman fixed some Johnsonville Kielbasi links and pan-fried zucchini with a crispy breading for dinner which I thought were fantastic. She claimed they had no "taste" ... I think it's her ...

Looks like we have about a dozen yellow squash on the vine ... (y)

On the agenda for today:

1. Rebuild curl cylinder and get that installed back on the tractor.

2. Possibly do a little clean up in the shop.

3. Change oil and filter on Cub.

4. Place Menards order.

5. Feed fish ... which I didn't get to yesterday.

6. Draw more water for partial water changes.

Looking forward to the upcoming 4 day period where they aren't calling for rain.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

First cup of coffee is cooling. 65° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 68° with rain most of the day. Got started on moving furniture around in living room. Going to need help doing this. Furniture is very heavy. Grocery shopping this morning. Then need to do some cleanup in shop.
This is only lilley that made it to full bloom this year. A bug and deer have done them in.
