Better get your order in today if you want an F150 with the Power Stroke diesel:

Apparently with it being $500 more expensive than the 3.5L PowerBoost V6 hybrid, nobody wants the diesel any more.

Lol, yeah I guess bikes are an option for the “extremely poor”. I was referring more to the “great unwashed” like myself. Dirty hands, trucks, older vehicles, etc.
Not all "poor" people are the same. I consider myself poor when compared to most of my friends. We are a single income family and have been for the last 10 years. Prior to that, my wife wasn't making much money at all and I'd say we were still pretty "poor". Some people that I know that don't make much money drive cheap fuel efficient cars like used Honda Civics, Dodge Neons, Toyota Corrollas, etc. There are a lot of cars that don't cost much per mile to drive like the Hyundai Accent I drove for 11 years. A good running Saturn could get 40mpg and only cost a few thousand dollars used.

I joke the auto is the curse of the working person. I did pay under $14K for the 2016 Leaf SL that was due a new lithium Ion battery from Nissan. I gave $6K for our 2010 Forester at 105 miles with new timing belt, water pump, head gaskets, etc and at 152K miles. Our 2010 F150 was $7400 with 205K miles with a great transmission. It's Lariet 4x4 with 10K tow package.

In 1973 I did buy my only new car a Datsan B110 coupe for $2150 and we put 200K miles on it.

I do plan to get a $25K Tesla and add FSD for my safety being 70 and physically handicapped to lower my accident risk and losing my driver's license at renewal in 2025.

The body body shop this week should start getting our 2016 ready to start receiving parts from our 2015 parts car.

The big thing I miss about the Leaf since it got wrecked in November is the heat pump which is awesome when you're setting parked or in drive-through lines. Well the power the quietness the smoothness are pluses as well. I hate gas stations vs just going home an plugging it in.

It will be interesting to see how the insurance industry reacts to rising sea levels, severe weather, wildfires, etc.

On another (maybe unrelated note), the Florida condo collapse, will send shudders through condo associations, and test the influence of lobbyists for builders and developers.

I predict they will react as follows —- raise premiums and eliminate coverages.

You're probably right, Allstate Insurance is paying almost 2.5% dividend annually and is up to 132.22 from 88.5 a year ago. If you can't beat em, join em.
