Now we have oven again.

Off to town. 1 beer keg needs replacing, need a bag of quikcrete from HD, some little shopping and treat Sophie to a late lunch.

Once home I just might declare the work day complete.

Don, congrats on H&F standing 🤙🤙🤙🤙

1852 miles later we are home again.
Was in several thunderstorms today. Temp would drop from 90s to 70s during the rain, then go back up after.
Lots of poison ivy here, and at my dads.

yesterday was 2 yrs since I got GBS, when I first noticed my legs felt funny. Wasn’t diagnosed till the 12th. Am so thankful to be able to walk, although my feet still feel like bricks at times.

well that's good to know about headphones, thanks. Why they would set the default to turn off in 5 minutes is curious.
I guess I have to download an app to reset this?

oh my is it going to be hot today, 96 degrees and sunny. I'm going to mow the lawn one last time with loaner mower then will clean it up
so it can go back to owner.

Looks like Elsa will skirt this area but we'll find out tomorrow.

hope you all have a good day.
Roy and Drew, load the app, then you can easily adjust it. Then bluetooth it to your phone. I have a Scribd account, and listen to it while I'm on the tractor. Nothing like mowing and listening to a good audio book to help pass the time.

Yesterday, the Elsa forecast was little or no rain here for Thursday...now it's up to 1 to 2 inches, so will get some things done outside today, including searching for a small leak in the barn roof.

I need to make new tops for our cornhole platforms...I made them for my wife years ago...used best quality treated lumber...the tops are old-formula treated plywood, but one has developed rot...so was planning on using the old tops of the outdoor ping pong table and cutting to size...not sure what the material is, but my son warns of inhaling the fibers...so I'm looking at UV resistant plexiglass and other materials...I'll need to cut a 6" round hole with a jigsaw, and possibly cut the sheet to size. Anyone used plastics like this and have any suggestions?
I believe what's happening on Texas' coastline will end up being a bigger rainmaker for more people. Some places have already had 12-14" of rain (don't know the accuracy), and it will probably head on up towards La and onward....maybe all the way to ERIC. (good thing he has a cab)... Just no wind to call it anything.

I cut polycarbonate at work a lot. Acrylic too, but it is more brittle and can crack easier. The UV polycarb will have a light blue tint. It really helps if you have some mist coolant, but you can make good cuts with a Diablo carbide tooth blade. Order a single flute 1/4" diameter carbide cutter for a router, and make you a pattern to cut the circle. If you can figure out how to leave a small .030", to make a 2nd finish pass, it will come out better. warning, plastic is pricey. You can probably find a cheaper tipped router bit than this one.

We have some type of plant that grows like a vine up onto the oak trees. The leaves look waxy and almost like they are fake plastic. They sure let out an odor when they get mowed. Maybe sumac? I'm not sure.

Bupps, glad you had a good day.

Randy, mower money. You only need a bit around $500 (like me and my Beast Steiner). :)

Kyle, I ended up buying a Toro Timecutter 50”/23 hp. 52 hours, got a set of new blades with it. It’s basically a backup, but I’ll probably use it back in the holly grove area. I had to re, rearrange the tractor shed.

68F and raining @ 00:45, headed down to a low of ... 68F.

Thunderstorm just rolled through.

Did a bunch of work on sorting out/filing papers, shredding old stuff, etc while it was raining earlier.

Did further mowing before I got chased in by more rain, still not quite done around the house ... close though.

Timberlink reporting a total 0.76" yesterday and another 0.29" since midnight.

A good soaking and needed, shouldn't have to worry about watering anything for a few days.

Much cooler temps (highs in the 70's and 80's) starting tomorrow (calling for a high of only 79F)

Hope everyone had a great day.

I don't know which model Drew has, but I have the WH-CH710N.
There is no app for this model that will control noise cancelling and other features. There is for the WH-CH700

Spent an hour or so researching...

good morning all.
warm morning but a lot of rain coming in, several inches over next few days.
I was supposed to go visit my landlady's farm this morning to check out her hydrangea bushes, and think that may get rescheduled.

Roy, I have the same model. Annoying and not consumer friendly to require a smart phone and separate app just to adjust headphones.
It's like modern cars with no knobs and you have to constantly drill down in menus. I guess on-off knobs have gone out of fashion.

Good Morning, still dark here in BC but temps have cooled to low 30s C, and we've had a bit of rain xo that is good (lightning at times, very bad)

if you have a fat head like me...and don't want to pony up 80+ bucks for a new Tilley hat, I found this copy to be a really
good value, and now is sure the time to cover our heads well. What is really good about this hat is you can order extra large sizes.
I take an XXLarge and for the first time the hat fits comfortably. Made in SriLanka and seems well made. Reminds me of clothes from Vietnam, also
well made. And no smart phone needed to adjust...

Poured first cup of coffee. 66° with Thunderstorms this morning. Heading to 77° with chance of rain. Got 1.38" of rain yesterday since yesterday. Table and chairs touch up done. If it stop raining I will get some pictures today.
Goldfish are mating in garden pond. Male chases female around pond until she drops her eggs. Then male drops his milt. Which fertilizes the eggs. In about a week there will be baby goldfish in pond.

Kyle, good way to protect family.

Roy, cute video.

RNG, hope you get more sleep after seeing Kyles picture.

Mostly, got my nap. But it was at 8:00 pm. Then I could not get to sleep when I went to bed.

Drew, thanks for hat post. I ordered a hat that has adjustable headband. Will review when I get it.

David, laying down on the job. (y)

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning! A before and after pic of my tractor work yesterday in the gardens. It took 10 FELs of crushed granite, a little back dragging and ranking and all done on this section by the wash station.
