You posted a link as if to promote a product and to some may have misrepresented it. I just quoted from the link to avoid confusion. I'm sorry your feelings were hurt. btw, seeds that nothing but rodents are attracted to don't need daily maintenance, or even weekly. And we know ants don't like sweet things, right? btw,I've been mistaken before (not saying you were, just not clear) but never called anyone names for pointing it out.

A bucket trap is cheap, effective and kills multiple mice.

I bought 3 electric traps late last year. They worked well with rats and mice but only 1 rodent per night then it has to be reset. Trouble is they have all carked it now. For $79 each I thought they would last longer.
I intend making my own eventually. Got a plan off the web. There was a video showing it working. The sensor picks up the mouse/rat and then 'energizes' it. Very deadly. I will put the circuit on here for any electronic gurus. BTW. I use peanut butter in my traps.

Why would anyone use something other than a bucket trap to catch mice? Even if you have to buy a bucket, it costs under $5 to make and catches a slew of mice without needing to be reset.

I know a guy whose family owned a chain of grocery stores. I am sure they had to deal with rodents. He has two bucket traps at our hunt camp.

AUS $240 is US $180. That is a lot of money to catch mice one at a time.

I was too cheap to buy buckets, and got two pails that kitty litter comes in from my buddy.

I don't get a lot of mice, but I need to keep traps out in several places to make sure they don't invade. I've got various wooden and plastic snap traps, but the newer Victor traps seem to be the easiest and most effective. I've got these:

Well, the trap in my tractor I just pick up and put in the cup holder until I'm done then reset it on the floor. A bucket would make that a little more of a production

My mice are not very smart. They are attracted to the bucket trap sitting on the floor of the garage.

I was smart enough not to put the bucket in a place where I need to move it to pull the tractor out.

5 gal bucket trap is still the best I have used.
