Was 80 degrees this morning when I got up, grass still wet with dew, have never seen this level of humidity here during hot weather. 3:10 PM 104 degrees, been above 100 since about 10 AM.
Our 78 year old neighbor delivered eggs today, long sleeves, long pants, boots and gloves. Dripping sweat, refused to come in and cool off. She is convinced that since my wife and I are vaccinated, we are shedding spike proteins. Lives in a small badly insulated house(no shade from trees). Only drinks water at night with meals. We worry about her in this heat, don't want to find her dead of heat stroke.

This is a rare situation - geoduck. West side hotter than the east side in the summer. I think, hope, I've topped out for the day. 4:30 pm - 105F. 8% outside relative humidity.
111F is just totally wild - and dangerous. I didn't go to the basement today. Maybe tomorrow.

Least you don't have the humidity we have. A cold beverage sweats everywhere. Take solace in the fact that in a few months, the snow will start again.

The wife just got back from Eugene. She says they found two bodies today. There are probably more. I feel so sorry for people who have no AC, or who are living on the street.
Not going to "like" this one, but I do share your sentiments. It only got to around 90 here today, but I still didn't stray far from the truck.
Tomorrow my dog is staying home, wracking up my power bill with the AC going.
