Should I cab or not. Getting ready to buy

Since you're not sure how well you'll adapt to the different seasons there, maybe wait until after you move and get a chance to experience the weather there?

It may be easier to move first and buy the tractor later, so you don't have to figure out the logistics of moving a tractor plus implements.
Exactly what I was thinking ... WHEN do you need a tractor ? and WHERE ? FL or TN

if you move first, and then get the tractor, you will also have a chance to check out the local Dealerships, and figure out which one(s) you are most comfortable dealing with - building those relationships where you live will have value for years. All the best with the move and the tractor search.

K5Iwq & arrow thank you,
I really enjoyed this machine today with the a/c in cab temp 96
and no misquitos. Next is get some sunscreen film will put on
the outside of windows much easier to get at. Haven't tried the
lights yet. I tried out the bucket today gotta get used to using
one to scrap up all this cactus. The backhoe, tiller and brush
hoe are made by woods I don't think I will ever wear these units
out in my life time so well built. The seat is really comfortable.
I hit bumps and I don't hurt my back but on the XT1 cub cadet
now that's another story. In the cab you can see all 4 tires so
vision is not limited like some people say. It's so easy to use.

If you don't get a factory cab and you purchase an
after market cab you will be kicking your self in the A**
NO A/C MAYBE HEAT? May have rattles and it don't
seal very good??? I have a cab on my tractor with a/c
and heat and no problem with vision can see all around
the tractor! After working in your cabbed tractor for 5 or
6 hours you don't feel like you been rode hard and put
away wet! I don't know of any add on after market cabs
that have a/c any one know of one that does???

I am on / off the tractor (BX23S) frequently when doing yard work. I am a hobby farmer, so I do not rely on this as a career. A cab was not even on my wishlist... it would be awkward / difficult for me to get in / out, granted mine is a small tractor. I did however buy the Canopy for sun, shade, snow, rain.

Same here. A cab ain't the right choice for many, which is why most CUT's dont have them. If you have one and your AC takes a crap in mid-summer, you would probably think twice before buying another. A canopy, by contrast, will always keep the sun off of you.

If I needed a/c and the one I had blinked out, I couldn't get another one fast enough.
Life is short (and getting shorter). I move toward comfort before the boned sickle holder comes.

i have a ac in my tractor, would not ever think of having another tractor without heat and ac. on cooler days i simply prop open the side windows and cab stays nice without ac. i owned a tractor with an open station, and after sucking in tons of dirt into my lungs after 14 years of operating it, i much prefer the cabbed unit

That’s why I don’t buy tractors. I use horses because tractors will break down on you in the middle of a field then you are screwed.
