Good morning!!!!

70°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 90° today. Humidity is at 80%.

Got a lot of stuff done around the house yesterday evening. Opened up the studio and fired everything up when I got home, but didn't get back in there until about 10:30 to shut everything down and go to bed. So it goes. Sometimes, adult life gets in the way.

We have a big name lawn care equipment customer coming for a visit today at work. Hope everyone is on their best behavior. Could be a pathway to a good deal of new business for our tube bending division.

Congrats on the sale, Doug. And, glad nothing too serious with your wife.

Welcome to the GM thread, Stephen. I've been wearing DeWalt bifocal safety glasses at work for a little while now. Much easier for my aging eyes to read small print on drawings when out on the shop floor. I don't have to zoom in with my phone camera nearly as much any more to see if that tiny print tolerance in the title block says ±.030 or .060.

Those are neat pics of the hawk. Saw some buzzards the other day spread out to dry themselves., they’re not so pretty.

I like the DeWalts the best. It has the best balance between far sight and reading magnification. Plus it comes with a protective sleeve that doesn't fully cover all the lens but it's something. So I got these and they are perfect! Good price, very comfortable and I can see up close when I need to do my job safety.

Welcome to TBN.

The sky looked promising for some rain yesterday evening, but we got not a drop. I did hear a few thunder claps, but fortunately no new fires were started by it. Two new ones did start nearby, for other causes.

Meet one of the newest members of the lizard family. Stubby and Tasty have been busy. This little guy wasn't much more than an inch long...

Got most of the terrace cut yesterday, just have a little more scraping on it to get it all level. That back wall is about 12' high, about twice as high as I thought it would end up. The dirt pile is HUGE! Lots of good things to do with it, but it's gonna take a LOT of trips to move it. Today we'll see how good I am with the box blade spreading gravel. Backhoe guy sez he'll give me a lesson. That should do it, just in time for the tank delivery tomorrow morning.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Good morning.

77F and partly cloudy @ 10:30, headed up to a high of 83F with showers developing this afternoon.

Spotted male bluebird on Nest Box No. 5 just a bit ago, apparently no objection to the new location.

Before I came in last night I was sitting out back while everyone was making their final run on the feeders for the day ... must have been 8 - 12 cardinals, mix of male and female.

Just placed Menards order, will likely run down later and pick it up, and hit the mower shop on the way down (or back)

Might also see what's out there as far as additional veggie plants go - I'm thinking we could really use another bell pepper plant or two, possibly an eggplant as well.

Will put string trimmer head back on the FS 66 and take it for a walk up by shop to mow down dead grass where the day lilies transplants will go.

Check for ramps up at the shop so I can get under the deck on the Cub to remove the blades and clean the deck.

Grass probably needs mowed down here around the house again.

Hosta/shrubs need dug out on northwest corner of shop.

Calling for thunderstorms again tomorrow, followed by an extended period of fair weather with some cooler temps which I'm looking forward to.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.

Spoke too soon on yesterday's rain. I was just up at the terrace and the dirt was damp. Turns out we had a brief shower last night around nine o'clock, with 0.07" of the wet stuff. Think I'll put the landscape rake on the tractor and make a path up to the cut that the tank delivery guy can follow. The dry grass clippings up there are pretty slick when they're dry, and if the tractor's been slipping on them, the pickup truck they'll be using for the delivery won't stand a chance, even if it is 4WD...

nice back roads trip to local TSC, picked up a mower lift on sale.
Now waiting for friend to come take it out of car and assemble, and we can fix the loaner mower I have, and change
it from mulching to discharge.\
I used to use the FEL for all my lifting. No more.
