Good morning
It’s 68 and foggy, heading to 90 with thunderstorms.

Today starts with an 8 am meeting at an airport that the airport authority is considering acquiring. Regular authority meeting this evening, still via zoom. In between those meetings will be spent in the shop making lots of sawdust.

Great crop of clover here, but not a lot of honey bees.

Good morning, minor good and bad news.

Bad news first - the sun is shining, no rain in forecast and I have lots more windows waiting to be sanded.

Good news - completely ran out of sanding discs. Until they are delivered I can sit in the shade for an hour or two without feeling too guilty and watch the grass grow (or should I close my eyes and listen to it grow like RS ?) :)

Researchers found a subpopulation of human cancer cells ... dubbed “the fat controller.”

The "Fat Controller" reminds me more of that far more benign character in "Thomas the Tank engine" stories. I heard his name was changed to "Sir Topham Hatt" for the American tv, as it was too non-pc to call him fat. BEF I bet your son will know if that is true. The Fat Controller. An April Fool here was that they were renaming him the "Big boned team leader".

Good morning! 75˚F before sunrise and heading to the mid 90s, partly cloudy - Summer has finally arrived. Might have to make this my first pool day, since the Park is still too muddy to do Cedarciding. That is 3 weeks of delays, but the rain is welcome. Our lake is 84% full.

Nice peek-a-boo birdhouse pic Ron.
David and Sophie back home, yea! Hope Sophie has a quick and full recovery.

Yes Eric, we are turning into a very polite and cautious (PC) people. Don't want to hurt feelings. And If we do - there's a pill for that, made in California.

I stopped by one of the new houses being built for the refugees from California in the neighborhood because there was a plumbing truck there doing the rough in plumbing. I found out where the waterline enters the houses. It is in the garage wall behind the water softener connection.

Good morning! 44F before sunrise, on the way to 70F. Drought is bad here. No water for irrigation, so everything is drying up. Going to bush hog the pasture today-- so it doesn't become a fire hazard.

Morning all, cloudy and warm, got about another .5" rain yesterday to go with the thunder and lightening.

PopG- I have the same rain gauge, but I just stick it in the ground. Works well enough for me. Not sure when the replacements will be happening, but it needs to happen soon. Those systems were created with i386 chips back when those chips were still just being integrated into PC boards. It was also the first radar to go all digital from the end of the wave guides.

Flail is supposed to show up today-probably just as the rain starts :-(

Stay safe and be well, and glad to hear you are doing well enough to mow the lawn Roy

70°F and cloudy with some heavy fog in some areas this morning, going up to 84°. 88% humidity right now. Looks like we'll be in the mid-90s Friday through Monday.

Wife came home last night and popped into the studio to chat just as I was shutting everything down. We heard the new foster pup upstairs start yelping, and ran up to find her with a bloody mouth. Further checking found her with a tooth turned sideways. Best guess is that she tried to chew her way out of the playpen, got her jaw stuck, and dislodged the tooth trying to get it out. It's a baby tooth, so we're not too worried about it. Wife was upset for awhile. Hopefully, she won't try that again. But, she's a very stubborn little dog, so ...

We have had a bumper crop of clover this year as well, especially the area between the driveway and the barn. Plenty of bees, as a couple of area neighbors keep hives.

Good morning to all! Low of 52, going up to 92. No rain... everything brown in the fields. Heard the wind chimes this morning really clanging.... yep windy...must be the excess from RNG leaving the window open again....

It's really hazy and smokey, the wind blowing in smoke from a fire in Arizona and southern NM. Hopefully will clear out in a few days.

Yesterday's trip to the dealer was, to say the least, very frustrating! What should have been an hours job, turned into 6 hours.... and only fixed one of the two problems.
The window switch was replaced and now working as it should.
The hood rattle was actually made worse by the mechanic... so the service manager took it over to the body shop....to no avail. I will work on it and get it right.... I am not going to sit and waste another day at a dealership for a cosmetic issue....

I had a guy from FB say he was very interested in my neighbor's tractor, said " I'll pay cash"..... we even negotiated a $500 delivery to Idaho (basically included in the price). He said C.O.D. , we said 'set up an escrow account'.... crickets.... haven't heard back from him.... probably trying to scam....

Not sure what I will get into today, probably not much due to the heat. The pond is evaporating at a crazy rate... but with 6-9% humidity and bright sun, I guess that is expected. I will probably fill that again so it do get too low...
Maybe piddle around in the shop.

Saw on the news last night, the cicadas were showing up on radar. There were also a few clips of reporters having cicadas land on them while on air.... funny stuff watching them freak out.... It was told that some areas were so load that you couldn't have a conversation over the buzz of the cicadas.

Hope everyone has a great day!

84, heat index 92, it is sticky outside.
I mowed yesterday and had more clover than I’ve ever seen here. It’s extremely dry, worse than before the rain last week. Thunder and lightning last night, but we only got .01” of rain, not enough to put puppy tracks in the dust on my truck.
Gracie, like a lot of dogs, chases bees, mostly carpenter bees. She will catch them and eat them. Well Monday she was out front before I got the clover mowed, chasing bees. She caught one that disagreed with her. After she came in her snout started swell some, then she was making strange sounds and pawing at it. We opened her mouth and her lips and tongue were swollen. Gave her a small dose of Benadryl and it started clearing up almost immediately. She was fine by yesterday morning. Only gave her 25 mg, she could have 65mg, but I’d rather start lower and add if needed.
I hope she learns from it, but I doubt it, she takes after me.

very uncomfortable PET scan only due to my shoulder but thankfully the tech had also gone through a shoulder operation
and she knew exactly how I felt. Still hurt holding still in that position for half an hour. Better now thankfully.
All I really care about is that test result comes back "cold".
Headed out to pick snowpeas, hot and humid out now but strong storms coming in this afternoon with another third of an inch of rain.
No problem growing the lawn here

Toppop, glad Gracie is doing ok.
