Hi All,

I'm looking for some help in finding generic replacement parts for my PTO shaft. The parts I need replaced are Deere: AM131981 and AM133972. (parts diagram here)

I'm certain that these parts were OEM'd by Weasler. I've looking in weasler's catalog and thought I found the right parts. But after careful scrutiny, it appears the measurements of the Caps (p/n:AM131981) on the cross bearing are 3/4" on the original Deere part, but 31/32" on the weasler part (p/n:200-0600).

Same goes for the Yoke. AM133972 for the Deere part, but the weasler part 31/32" with the 1" round implement bore (p/n:802-0616).

So I'm at the point where, what should cost $50-$60 to fix, will cost over $300. Has anyone solved this problem before?

If I were you, and I am not, but If I were, I would disassemble the yolks, take all the parts to your local Fleet Farm or Tractor Supply store and have them help you find the part that fits.

It is very unlikely that JD has special parts made that are different from what everyone else is using.

If no help at those places, find a drive line shop near you and ask for help.

I am thinking you have either an Italian or German built PTO shaft.
Easy way to tell is by the shape of the sliding shafts/tubes.
For Italian, a 1 series will have 22mm caps and cap to cap is 54mm
For German a 2100 series will have 22mm caps and cap to cap is 54.8mm
See pages 90 & 117 of the Weasler catalog
Do either of the these metric measurements match your cross?
What is the shape of your sliding tubes?

I heard back from Weasler - I was hoping you were right Richard001 - however, it is not the case:

Morning Dustin,

For your yoke using a cross kit having a ¾” cap bore and if it measures 1.9” across that would be what we call our 07 series. Currently we do not have this smaller 07 series in our Aftermarket product. You would have to go back to the manufacturer of the machine this part is on for service parts. If they do not have parts in stock or sell that part any more you can get back to me and I would have to check which other OEMs would be using that yoke and you would have to check with them for service parts. What I know about service parts on this smaller drive shaft series, most of the OEMs have the complete drive shaft as the service part and do not offer the components for repair.

Thank you,

This should help also:
19MM is the Cap diameter. That's not listed in the PDF you attached. JD really went the extra mile to make sure these parts were not ubiquitous.
