Job Fairs

You can't blame the recipients. It's human nature. There is a big portion of our population that's more than willing to adjust their standard of living to what ever they get for nothing!
.

Yes, we can. There something satisfying about hard work and knowing one earned what they have.

And there's something dejecting about working hard all your life and seeing people riding the gravy train. ;)
I believe the 2021 politically correct descriptive term for that is....achieving.... "economic equality" ??

Yes - but as long as you can vote yourself freebies it will never stop. Never.
Ever.

That is EXACTLY why the USA is now entering a downward spiral....never to recover.
At 80, I do expect to be gone sometime before the SHTF.

If you want to see where we are going, you should read this book.

It tracks 19 prior civilizations from birth to destruction.

Not encouraging.

Buddy of mine owns a restaurant.
110,000 restaurants went bankrupt last year. His employees dont want to come back to work because the state benefits they get from the state make them reluctant to return
Now the fed govie wants to pay everyone, too. Now with min wage increase talks and fed paying folks to sit on the couch, I guess the price of cheeseburgers just tripled?!?
Hmmmm wonder if someone would want to wash dishes, bus tables, or stay home?

Everyone must ask themselves: Do you want FREE DOM, or FREE STUFF?

I agree. But, what do you think the masses will decide when they are told - it’ll all be paid for by taxing the rich? Make no mistake, that is 100% the game plan.

Of course it is the game plan!
The gullible/greedy (all) will vote for as much "free stuff" and "free money" as they can get.
Then comes inflation!
Shades of Argentina in the late 90's,.... continuing up to and including the Argentina of today!
History repeats!
Sad.......and seemingly inevitable!

Agree 100%. I have what I have earned; I have zero sympathy for those with less who have not applied themselves to a good life. That's on them, not on me...

I believe that it was Denmark who experimented with the “living wage” last year and didn’t fare very well. What planners don’t understand is that taxing the extremely wealthy to pay for all of the social programs will just make them move to another country... just as our jobs already did.

We had a bright hardworking woman in the sales department get a considerable pay increase. She tried to turned it down as it would put her over the limit for free state healthcare for her kids. Opinions and her future were severely damaged.

The sad part is that hers was a tough decision. She has to earn enough extra to pay wages for somebody to look after her kids.

95% of all income taxes are already paid by the top 20% earners. The next 80% pay only 5% of income taxes.
The bottom 20% are "net positive" in that they pay no income taxes, but actually get government handouts.

There are 11.8 millionaires (3% of population) and "only" 614 billionaires.
