Agreed, but i will still do the changes at least every 100hrs or 2 yrs minimum

After putting about 25 hrs in , the oil looks really nice and still clean. In the past the regular one would have been black by now.

Have a 2003 2210, small Yanmar engine. Been using Rotella T6 5w-40 year round for most of its life, now about 1300 hours. Turns black really fast, but starts easily in winter in spite of aging glo plugs. I change it yearly, usually in December after leaf clean-up. Never any problems with it, only takes about 2.2 quarts with filter.
For the hydro, I have tried other brands, but had some issues- back to using John Deere Low Vis for that.

Note sure about the John Deere Plus 50 II - so called 500-hr change interval, but the manuals also say change the oil annually.

I've been using CK-4 Costco Diesel in all my equipment (off road (yellow, red and green) and on road -- Powerstroke and Cummins diesels) and not a single problem anywhere.

Just an opinion, but manuals are just guidelines. And oil is just oil.. some better, some not as good. But oil is needed in the engine.. clean oil better than old, dirty oil. All depends on the use and conditions the user puts their engine through daily or annually.

Like sex, as long as it feels good for both... do it. Likely not the same for everyone.
