Trying to identify this type of connector so can make up an adapter for 12 VDC power using two of the pins.
The pin size is about 1/16" and the thread OD is about 15/16".
These are cables for my Johnson machine laser receiver.
Anyone care to hazard a guess?

I think you can get them at Digikey. A GREAT company to do business with. I bought some for the servos on a CNC press brake. I am having a hard time thinking of the name.

EDIT: Looking in an old catalogue. I don't know how I ever found the right connector. I have no doubt they have yours, but there are hundreds of styles. I would send one of their techs your pictures. 1-800-344-4539

OR, you could just go on line and try and find it on their site. I don't have the patience for that myself.

Why does the female have 7 holes and the male 4 pins?

Ummm, because they are 2 completely different cables on this equipment?

We call that style Molex after the company that first made them. You need to find out the diamters of the pins, spacing, etc and you can start to pin it down better.

We/I used to call those round ones ANC Connectors. The square ones are Molex.

All those good old companies made a gizzilion styles of connectors. Many compatible with each other. Amphenol, Cannon, Cinch Jones, the list goes on and on. I guess in certain shops, certain connectors just adopted the name of the manufacturer. Kind of like calling a rotary saw a skilsaw.

Or, you can just call Johnson support and ask them:
888-9-levels
I really doubt that they would give me the info.

A guy from New Zealand who joined 4 yrs ago, hardly posts and yet comes up with the answer for a guy in Kansas.
Brilliant happenings!
