Agree, if they offered an engine with less computer inputs I would pay more for it.

That goes for me too. I would actually be willing to pay more for a machine featuring simplicity, durability, and fixability than for the same model with more computer controlled electronics.
The reason we haven't bought a new machine in the last 10 years is because we got tired of looking at new tractors that seemed likely to be more work to maintain than our older ones.

Yep, all pre tier 4 for me, except for my truck.
Gotta wonder where things are headed and if we will be permitted to keep them.

I never loose any sleep over equipment theft. Everything is insured against loss and mischief. If they (thief) wants it that bad, take it.

People refuse to fix the problem, but are always willing to just throw more money at the problem.
And we wonder why insurance premiums just keeps going up and up.

So, how does this help those who cant afford all the inflated insurance anymore.

They are going to price us right out of buying them.

More concerned they will force a cease & desist for non compliant, older equipment for the sake of environmental issues, but yeah PaPow, these new diesel trucks have gone up way more than most of our wages have.

Dual cup holders!

One refrigerated
&
One heated!

I had a rental Chrysler 300 that actually had those. The 2 front cupholders in the console were heated/cooled with a button push. Had to be a Pelteir junction to be able to do both like that. It wasn't powerful enough to make something cold, but it helped keep a soda bottle cold that started that way pretty well.

Kind of did that shot already with big trucks. You cannot buy a glider and install a pre 4 engine anymore. You cannot plate it. Got a buddy with a Cat NZ engine on a skid that is about to do just that. I'm sure he has connections however.

My wife's Burb (LTZ) has that in addition to heated and cooled seats and steering wheel.

Got news for ya, on the bigger ones, they already have unless you farm for profit like me and Hay Dude do. You won't be buying a cabbed utility tractor with FWA and mid range (70-120 pto) for less than 80 grand which is way beyond the means of most hobby farmers or suburban homeowners.

Why Kubota and others won't sell you a reman pre 4 engine without you destroying the old engine as in blasting it with your trusty 44 at close range and then sending in documentation of the swiss cheese look...

How about we just pass laws for first time thieves to cut their hands off for stealing. Will it bring down the cost of what we buy? Probably not by much, but we`ll have alot less repeat thieves.

I know what you are saying but always remember what Ghandi said. If everyone believes in an eye for an eye, we end up with a world full of blind folks and guess who's next?

Let's apply that that policy to the govt and politicians and any one else milking the govt. It would be like the fugitive, a country full of 1 armed men.

It's good that they are doing a survey. I thought it was interesting they way they presented some questions. As an extreme example just to make a point.

They might give you 4 proposed features, none of which you want and might possibly try to avoid.

Rank the following features, 1-5 stars.

1. A sharp stick in the eye

2. Bamboo under your finger nails

3. A visit to vlad

4. Marathon man dentist

Then.....of those, which would you choose and what would you pay.

It looks like hi-tech is the direction they are headed. I wonder if their marketing folks spend any time on forums like this?

:D:D:D

And man are those profits diminishing

I don’t need to start my tractor with my phone. What I need is a seat that reflects the price I paid for the tractor. They are awful.

And, let’s look at some of the manufacturers that provide a way to operate the 3 point from the rear of the tractor.

Keep up Kubota! Your starting to fall behind the simple things others offer.

You cant operate 3pt from rear fenders on your Kubota? Mine have the buttons. My implements are bigger so I dont use the 3 point much anymore. Most of mine are towed. They are usually more in the way than useful.
I would really like to have the PTO buttons like my Massey does.

Kubota Seats do leave something to be desired. After about 8-10 hours in the seat, you start feeling it. It’s really just the seat BASE on mine-could be shot and I dont realize it. The suspension is fine.
