Been there too. Liked it. Like large hills and clear water. Thinking half a year, not a relocation. The colder weather is wrecking havoc on me and my wife right now. And well, it is not really cold yet.

37 going to 49 today. Weather guessers are saying tomorrow will be 6 to 10 inches of heavy wet or not!
Will spend the day picking up branches and what ever else can get caught in the snow blower just in case. Tractor is topped off and battery tender is on it.
Neighbor got called in to work so his blower is still not mounted.(that should make the storm a definite snow event!)
Oh well winter in New England.
Hope everyone is safe and healthy!

Rip, you get a house in the USVI's and lots of us would come visit...
nice part is it's still part of the US, like Hawaii.
Still wearing a Seiko watch I got there, and got ten years before that, and...
If you can stay away from cruise ship area, sounds good.
I got married there last time, on the beach in St. Thomas.

I couldn’t afford the first fill up on it. I do love Hatteras, but I believe I’d rather have a Buddy Davis, as if, but I can dream.

Just poured first cup of coffee. 36° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 42° with cloudy skies. I have been cleaning up the book collection that my wife had around the house. So many sewing, crochet, gardening, cooking and reading books that I have no interest in. So far I have been lucky to find someone to take them. But the last batch may have to go into trash. No one has offered to take them. That's OK. It's good to see all the others went to someone. Back at cleaning out the last book shelf. After grocery shopping.
Sunset had lots of color in it yesterday evening.

Drew, every time I get some kind of sniffle, headache, upset stomach or other kind of symptom. I start worrying. Yesterday it was a headache. When I did dishes at lunch time. I realized there was no coffee cup to wash. Checked thermo coffee pot. It still had coffee in it. Drank a cup of coffee. Felt much better.

Riptides, someplace warm would be great. Never went to the Caribbean.

David, place looks great. I see you got down spouts fixed.

Alien, wish I could share some of the cool air I have up here.

Randy, I have a 2 remotes on almost every light in my house. Christmas tree is on a timer.

RS, take a break and watch the wildlife more.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good morning all.

Last week I sent an email off to the county outdoor recreation department to ask if they were still running the scheme to supply kissing gates as replacements for styles. The first one I put in a while ago has made life easier for footpath walkers, so I may as well do the same again now another style is needing repairs. A nice young man duly rang back and yesterday brought me two more. Before I can put them in, I need to dig in strainer posts on either side, then brace them with struts so the stock fence won't loose tension when I cut an opening for the gate. Woke up with good intentions to make a start on that today, now having felt how mean the north wind is this morning, bringing over showers of sleet every few minutes, I am having second thoughts.

Been suffering in just over 100 degF again today.
Atually getting wet and cold now doesn't sound that bad compared to cooking at 100F !

If only we could share our weather around and average things out ....

Not too keen on sharing anyone's low flying meteorite though

Good morning, the temperature is 32°F and it will be staying there all day. Wind SSW 6 mph. Flurries or showers. 3/4" if it comes down as snow.

A dump run is in the cards for today and a short trip to Sundridge.

Have a safe day all
