Just heard fire truck go out, truck has a seriously powerful engine, very distinctive sound, must be flooding or an accident nearby.
I think that's an older Pierce pumper at the local substation, and my memory was we put the biggest engine available in it to get up some of our steep hills.
Pretty sure the local volunteer fire company has all Pierce equipment now, I used to drive a Pierce "attack" mini truck with 250 gallons of water on it, mostly used for brush fires
