I hope the dump was open and you didn't have to drop it off the side of a cliff on Thanksgiving weekend....;)

.

And not everyone agrees that one big pile is better than 2 little piles. But it is harder to bring that pile up than to throw your pile down.

29 early, 56 now, beautiful day. Looks like heavy rain moving in tonight.

Had great dinner yesterday but Ellen and I were spent by bedtime, kids did most of the cleaning up. I made creamed candied yams, man they’re good. All the kids, grandkids and step kids got along without a hitch.

Ellen went to feed the outdoor cats this morning and stepped on the side ramp I built for my late wife, it was frozen and she fell on her butt. She seems OK, but I suspect she will be sore tomorrow.
She’s gone to her sister’s to make fruitcakes, we can always use another doorstop. LOL
I’m feeling a nap coming on.
Have a good day.

After dark last night, but before midnight, we got about .65" of rain and were glad to get it. Temperature today is 45 going for a high of 53, but supposed to be below freezing in the morning.

She’s gone to her sister’s to make fruitcakes, we can always use another doorstop. LOL

If they're anything like the ones from The Collin Street bakery in Corsicana, TX, they'll be great.

Maybe a longer nap than you had planned if she hears about the doorstop.

Was working in utility room and decided to install the junction box that feeds power to one of my geothermal pumps. Been running 9 yrs with wires hanging out with wire nuts on them. Disconnected wires, and junction box is a little too big to fit between the two pump boxes. Must have been the reason I didn’t put it in 9 yrs ago. Will need to get smaller box, or mount this box below the lower motor, and make a short flex run to the top motor
I did put 2 90s on one of the hoses going into pump, so hose enters from bottom. The hose was kinking from bending, this eliminated the hose bend. Letting the pipe dope set some before trying it. Should do other side also, it’s not quite as bad.

built another birdhouse and then took a half hour trip up to Popgadget/Paul's farm in Bedminster where it took him
all of 5 seconds to figure out what I was doing wrong with my new nailer...5 seconds. Sigh. He has the exact same model.
I was loading the nails on the wrong side, they went in, just the track
to nowhere. Duh.....

Paul's place is gorgeous, at least 15 acres of beautiful green fields and a shop to die for. I think I can easily say he has one of everything and clearly
knows how to use them. It was great fun looking at his tools, bought several pairs of alpaca socks from his wife, and then went to visit the alpacas in the barn.
Yes they are related to llamas. Whole bunch of them too, they were inquisitive and came up to check me out.

So PJ/Paul and Popgadget/Paul are both musicians; second floor of the shop today was full of musical instruments, Paul builds professional speaker cabinets, and there were at least four nice
guitars hanging up there, plus a full drum set. I was sure impressed by the man's talent, including the fact he is still an active pilot. While we stood outside talking, his son flew overhead in his plane which used to be his father's.

Very nice to meet another TBN'er and put a face to a name.

Good afternoon! The high of 51˚F has been reached and it will be right at the freezing mark tonight and in the twenties Tuesday morning. Only had .32" of rain yesterday.
Just had some homemade Cathy Fisher's Enchilada Casserole (page 89, RNG). We made it because it calls for 5 cups of kale and the garden is producing about 50 cups a day. In the pic -- left, 1 row of broccoli, middle 4 rows of kale, right 2 rows of beets. Next year only one row of kale. The gardens were busy this afternoon with people preparing for the freeze. All I had to do was remove the irrigation timer and filter.

The Meyer lemon tree has a good crop of 15 lemons this year. They will be harvested tomorrow and made into marmalade.
