Bwa, ha-ha!

I miss listening to the whippoorwills at night. I agree about the crows though, I have a rookery across the road from me every spring.
Have you ever been to downtown Bangor on a summer evening? The crows down on the waterfront carry on something awful, I suspect it had something to do with the city lights disturbing their natural rythms.

3birds... whippoorwills, crows, roosters and owls. You count differently down in Liberty than how I was taught. ;)

Last year I witnessed a army of crows take down a large bird of prey right out of the sky.

Crows can be aggressive in numbers. Reminds me of a line in a Ray Wylie Hubbard song.

“Even crows act like eagles when they see a dying snake...”

Maybe that's why a large group of crows is called a murder? A murder of crows.

My neighbor had a peacock. You haven't 'lived' until you have been woken up at 3 am by a peacock screech. That is by far the worst noise I have heard.

Where are peacocks native land? The only one I seen was on NBC 50 years ago.......

I never really used to fully wake up when the rooster crowed, I just kind of knew morning was coming. These days the dog gets up and moves over to the window side of the bed in the morning, so not a whole lotta difference. I just like the connection to nature.

I never fully wake up til 9:30 break after 2 cups of Baptist gasoline.........

No, he's absolutely right. You can have a gaggle of geese, a murder of crows, or a flock of seagulls... that last one not to be confused with the vintage rock band of the same name.
