And it would be only be that one time here............
I think 3 of the worst nosiest birds are whippoorwills, roosters, crows and owls, fortunately whippoorwills haven't been around much in the last couple years.
Could very well be, but I maintain that if one cannot make a flippy cap work... well... lets just say it is not that hard..
Just sayin....
True, but I also like that they eat bugs, plus there's something nice about having your own supply chain.
If I really want eggs I have a neighbor with a lot of chickens that'll give them to me, he lives by himself so end up with plenty of extra once the laying starts.

Bwa, ha-ha!
I miss listening to the whippoorwills at night. I agree about the crows though, I have a rookery across the road from me every spring.
Have you ever been to downtown Bangor on a summer evening? The crows down on the waterfront carry on something awful, I suspect it had something to do with the city lights disturbing their natural rythms.
3birds... whippoorwills, crows, roosters and owls. You count differently down in Liberty than how I was taught.![]()

My neighbor had a peacock. You haven't 'lived' until you have been woken up at 3 am by a peacock screech. That is by far the worst noise I have heard.
A guy down the road had these white geese in a pen behind his house, he's a 1/2 mile away at least and in the winter, you could hear those things just honking away. Another guy has peacocks, once it was strutting around near my driveway, guess it got lost, but I don't think I've ever heard it.The ranch I ran down in Texas years ago had Peacocks!! Oh man, talk about loud!!! You are so right!
