Yes I was nervous from what others have said, I had to wait maybe 1 minute. When my son put the mill together the manual showed carriage bolts going up so thats what he went by, it is easier that way and a good way to tell when the track and wheels are waring down cause there not much room between wheels and bolts with nuts on top, maybe 3/32.

OK, I just looked at some picts of your mill, and I see you guys don't have the felt wipers on your carriage. Those wipers are their for a reason, and one reason was to keep the mill from having the very problem you are having.

It's not the mills fault that you guys know more than Norwood does... ha ha ha

What ever parts the mill came with was put on, by the book nothing more nothing less.

My son stopped in this afternoon and I ask him about that and said there is felt on the carriage that gets filled with oil, I was wrong in pervious post, I know I was suppressed to.

Son also said there was another mill problem, on motor side, said he went to saw this week and motor started hard and run rough, went to shut key off and motor stayed going. Once he got the motor stopped he started taking things apart and found bare wires and half chewed off wires from the coil, plug wires was half chewed off to, it appears mice have attack the mill motor. So after some rewiring, online researching about them pesky diodes in coil wires, little sawdering and tapping he got it back going again.

PS We dont know more then Norwood, thats fake news.......

I have no issue with the 2nd, just thought he looked a bit armored for sawing beech, maybe if it was something more rare like black walnut or teak...

I'm glad he doesn't think the right to bear arms means wearing a sleeveless t-shirt...

Small tractor pushing heavy log, this time my log deck didn't wobble, added some 1/2" angle bar on railroad iron then screwed to the front of log deck, might change to 5/8 threaded rod later if wobble comes back.

Least I get a nice warm fuzzy feeling just knowing that all those upper mid west folks never make any mistakes and nothing on their sawmill ever wears out.............
