This is so obvious, I don't know why I never realized it before (tech tip)

While doing my 700-hour service this afternoon, I realized something I wish I'd known since I bought this machine.

You would think there would be enough cost savings to standardize on one cap for both applications instead of cheaping out on manufacturing and using a second plastic cap. Most likely the engine design engineers don't talk with the chassis engineers.

He's saying that the oil fill cap fits the hydraulic fill cap.. engine cap metal, hydraulic cap plastic.....

The hydraulic fill cap on my DK 35 has a vent tube on it (vent needed), engine oil fill cap does not.

Maybe the reason for the plastic cap should be determined before we all change over?
