Got distracted or is shopping part of making dinner? So what you're saying is you're addicted to classifieds? :drink:

For 19 bucks, is "still working" a requirement?

Tombstones and buzz boxes...interesting how welding has its own unique language...

Can't wait to see what it looks like after some "Terry magic" is applied to rehabilitate the little feller!

Just to be clear I don't set my phone for tool "alerts" or anything like that. I would never get anything done . Addicted ? No. I can stop anytime I want. LOL

I DO enjoy looking a few times a day though.

This is the ad I saw just before dinner:

Miller Welding Machine Saanich, Victoria - MOBILE

I highly doubt there is anything major wrong with it and if so I'm certain the copper in it would cover my purchase price. ($14.47 usd BTW).

What are those light green trees with huge leaves? Looks like catalpa? Nice place.

Thank you goeduck. You are correct about it being a catalpa.

A local garden center closed up quite a few years back. This tree was amongst the truck load of plants I rescued from their unsaleable junk pile.

Pretty much everything I got survived but most would not be perceived as “specimens” today.

You think you have it bad.... Now that my shop is stuffed full I've started buying outside toys. My 1940 D2 caterpillar hasn't even been delivered yet and I'm already looking for more.... Next should probably be a big forklift to move all my other junk around....

A Thunderbolt!! Haven't saw one in several years!!!!

This is a "first" for me. I've never owned or used one before. From what I understand there's nothing special about it but I've never owned a welder I didn't like

I might not get around to it for awhile but I'm certainly looking forward to using it.

It will be a baby brother to this bigger Miller buzzbox

Re: Big Barn痴 Retirement Farm Shop

Re: The MIller:

Listing says PO didn't have the plug to test it. That sleeper needs a 50a circuit, say vs a typical 250a inverter welder that'll work all-out on a 30a supply.

I have both, use both. Both have comparable duty cycles of 100% at ~150-160a. (5/32 Rods) So myself and the rod see 'apples' when under the hood and on a roll.

I just noticed a Cannox on FB locally for $100. Same welder just rebranded.

Several local farmers have these welders. I've welded lots with one when I worked for a farmer. They are a good welder. If you turn down the amps they will just weld a 1/8" 7018.

Forgot to take some... Now trying to figure out when we can get it here before the snow.
I have a suitably cool forklift lined up already. Just waiting for its current owner to find a newer one he likes. Big old Warner and Swasey diesel with front tractor tires.
