I looked at the Titan and now the Land Pride, but everything I have is Cat 1 pins. I was hoping I wouldn't have to change them all, but I guess no luck there.

speeco makes one with cat 1 pins and its cheaper then LP. good works tractors sells them

I recently made some changes to my Timberwolf TW1 log splitter. At the time I could not afford their higher end model and started to regret not getting the one where I could add the hydraulic log lift.

So I bought a kit from Rugged Made and it works well. It is made for a splitter with a larger 6 beam so it sits a bit high. Haven稚 had any clearance issues so far.

I also work alone to split wood most of the time so a decided an auto cycle valve would also be a good upgrade. I repurposed the old valve for the log lift. Some of the plumbing is temporary. Wanted to make sure everything worked well. Over the winter I値l bring it into the garage and clean it up.

I had not seen those kits before. My splitter has a lift on it already, but I know a couple of folks who would probably be interested in this. It sounds as though you got the Ruggedmade kit without the hydraulic valve and hoses, rather than the one with the valve?

What did you think of the quality of design and construction?

Question for you guys with Auto-Cycle valves: What kicks it into the reverse stroke, pressure or physical position of the wedge ?? One of those lifts would be handy when you are working at the tree in the woods which I've been doing more of and miss being able to use the bucket for a lift like on the landing. That kit looks pretty good. Probably couldn't make one for much less unless you had a bunch of steel hanging around.

i know of only one person with this hitch and they needed to modify the top link hook. it was too far into the frame like the HF

Upon researching more as suggested, I found this comment to be quite common. None of these by design will work with my LP box blade as it has a support right under the top pin. They also won't work with my 3pt forks since the tubing is welded right below the top pin. But for the other attachments, it should work great.

I don't think I have a true Auto-Cycle. I have to hold it for forward, but I can push it once into reverse and it will retract by itself. Then I think when the pressure exceeds what that detent can handle it kicks it back into neutral.

Yes that's how the timber wolf log spliter works....

Makes sense, since I have a timberwolf.
