Well finally you actually cut a tree down and it needed to come down to, my guess is Locust, what'd I win. I say your stump grinder wont work hard on that one if you recut it.

BTW, my buddy pulled this load,

over a certified scale. The truck is a one ton dually Cummins powered 2wd truck, manual tranny. The trailer is 24', tandem duals. wood floor/metal beaver tail, goose neck, and it was all too long to get it all on the scale at the same time.

SO, the front axle and 5' of the cab was off the scale, and the weight ticket came in at #18,200 something. So, a pretty good load of logs...

I converted an old skidder trail into a tractor road today. Had to fill some ruts and push out some boulders and rocks then fill the holes

I want to say butternut, but I know that's not right. I can't quite place it but we usually see those trees on somebody's lawn as an ornamental, and they always look as ugly as the one you just took down.

About 6-10" on stump is what most of my firewood toothpicks are, bigger then that and I start thinking logs then the next thing I know I have more logs then firewood.
