Good Morning!!!! 74F @ 5:30AM. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. Areas of smoke and haze are possible, reducing visibility at times. High 97F. Winds light and variable.
AQI 54 and 205, inside and out. The air purifier was waiting on me when I got home yesterday, and I let it run all night. Between it and the A/C, AQI was still in the safe range this morning, so I'm glad I didn't waste my money. When I moved the AQI monitor into the bedroom, AQI didn't change, so I can leave the purifier and it's "fan" out in the great room. That's were it spent the night, and when I woke up this morning, the fan was on high and making a fair amount of noise. I suppose you could get used to it after a while, but it's nice to know I won't have to.
Even with four heavy helicopters dumping water on the fire yesterday, it stayed active and is still advancing along a line toward the northeast. The 10-day forecast looks calm until next Friday when a front comes through, kicking up the wind but maybe also bringing a half inch or so of rain. Lord knows we can use it. If nothing else, maybe we'll get a day or two of clean air out of it.
:welcome: Tinhack. Are you doing a rebuild on that tractor, or just touching up a few pieces?
You might be the first one, Bill, to post snow flurries in the forecast this fall
Hadn't heard yet about POTUS' diagnosis, Drew. Nobody's safe from CV19. Be careful out there, folks!
Speaking of diagnosis, glad your toe's comin' around. Last thing you need as moving day nears. Never got another chance at the firetruck; the neighbor still hasn't made it over yet.
Even the ones that get away are fun with that new rod, Bruce. Are you eating the one you landed, or is it catch'n'release? If the gopher's in his hole, could you put a trap in there and take care of him for good?
Do you suppose slow drains have anything to do with the weather, Ron? I've got one in the bathroom sink now...
Glad to hear Coco's good news, Bill.
Thanks for the pointer, Engineer42. I'll check 'em out.
Better late than never, Don. Raised bed looks beautiful!
Sorry to hear about the wireless cam not working out, Thomas. Hope you have better luck with the new one!
Are you on a well, RS? Could it be dirt or scale in the pressure switch? I need to clean out the one here again...
I've had some luck driving over a tire to break the bead, Ted. But buying a tire machine many years ago was money I don't regret spending.
Got everything I needed done in town yesterday. Flu shot at Costco; shopped after checking in at the pharmacy, was finished by the time the shot was ready, in and out in less than half an hour. Subaru even had the right part, and the mail and parcel boxes were full with a week's worth of held mail when I got home. Not a bad day.
TGIF folks!:drink:
