At 9:30 pm my son comes in wanting an 8GB thumb drive to install Linux on for homework due at midnight. When he went to download Linux it was 4 GB with estimated 2-4 hrs to download.

I downloaded a smaller network version to quicken the process. Hopefully it will install in time.

Good morning all. We have been enjoyed clear blue skies for the last few days and it looks to be the same again today once this mist has lifted. Gave myself the day off yesterday, back to the brickwork today.

Thomas, no need to rush when painting a ceiling, the Sistine chapel, took years. Probably was easier for Michelangelo to take his time though - he wasn't married. :) Sistine Chapel ceiling - Wikipedia

good morning. Foggy damp morning, 73 out now going up to 85 today, then that cold air Roy has is coming down this way in a
cold front that will take temps down to 60 tonight. Fall has begun.

Dennis, hope your son got his homework done in time.

am off to dentist this morning, something I have been putting off due to Covid, but was able to make appt for 8am on Monday morning, so room will be as bug free as possible. Have a cavity that won't fix itself, some chipped teeth, bunch of maintenance work I need done and want to finish it before I head North. Dentist here very good but very expensive, more so than old dentist in PA. Going to call old dentist when I get North and see if I can go back to him. Also have to follow up with oncologist and cardiologist appointments in PA.

Today is day tenants are supposed to be out of my "new" home so hopefully my brother will get a call shortly to go inspect the property. Sure will be nice to have that
pinned down, and have a permanent mailing address. Started out in New Hope PA, looks like I'm ending there too...

Had a nice dinner last night, so much salt in take out I had to drink an entire bottle of water when I came home just to feel right. But the pizza sure was good, and I have two leftover pieces for lunch today. Very calm on River, disturbed only by neighbor's kids/guests horsing around on jetski.

As it darkened saw two boats go by without any running lights on, someone was being forgetful. Very dangerous to do that, I've done a fair amount of night boating and you really need to depend up on the reds and greens to understand what direction the other boat is going. For years my wife and I would take my little boat, a Scout 16, out the Sassafras River about 9 miles at dusk, take a look at Baltimore's red sky across the Chesapeake and then turn around and come back to the marina. A bit of moon helped but channel lights and boat lights were what I focused on. I really miss boating, but don't miss the expense. If I did get another small boat some day, would consider getting an electric one to keep the noise down. The Germans make really good electric outboards and while you don't go fast, you get there and it's marvelously quiet.

Looks like Hurricane Sally is going to swing through here Thursday and Friday and dump several inches of rain.

Folks in Louisiana are having a tough time, all that rain that we wish could get dumped on California

RNG stay safe and be careful of that toxic air

I agree 100% with your way of thinking but "he wasn't married." and that's key right there.

68 going to 81. Was clear with stars earlier, but now the front has covered the skies with clouds...weatherman says maybe a shower then clear and crisp.

Thomas, the mix I planted has oats, wheat, rye, turnips, radishes and clover. I still have some more to plant today. Ron, I don't use a pull behind or my 3pt. spreader because I find I can control the seed spread very precisely when using a hand propelled seeder...just takes longer, and has me walking a great deal in soft newly tilled soil. But I save on seed, which has seemed to have gotten more expensive lately. RS, the $6K seeder is a combination disc/seed drill/cultipacker made especially for smaller tractors and handles different sized seeds simultaneously without the problem with seeds self-sorting that RNG mentioned (so they claim). So, theoretically does the whole job in one pass rather than my 3 or 4 steps of tilling, then walking the seed around, and then driving over it repeatedly in parallel tracks to pack the soil, or pulling a drag to cover the seed that needs to be planted more deeply, then driving over it. I enjoy it.

Ron, beautiful pond and waterfall pic yesterday.

First cup of coffee is cooling. 52° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 68° with lots of sun. 6 of us enjoyed GD birthday yesterday. Saw trees starting to change color on 25 mile trip north. Need to pack up iRoomba 5E vacuum and ship back to Amazon. It has failed to do it's job from new. I have 2 that are 4 years old. Thought I would replace the one that does largest area. Good thing I save boxes. Start painting garage doors when I get back.
Caught a picture of moon before it is gone for a couple of weeks.

Drew, hope your visit to dentist goes well. Hope house works out for you.

Thomas, nothing good about painting a ceiling. Glad I paid someone to do mine last year. My neck started hurting just watching him.

RNG, hope all the fires are under control.

David, 8 weeks lots of growing to go.

RS, hope you get gardens done before winter sets in. ;)

Roy, good way to spread your weekend projects out over more than one weekend. :confused2:

Everyone have a safe and healthy day.

Good Morning All.
