This guy is tough!

Minnesota man saved after being trapped under a fallen tree for 4 days

Most of us work alone, but this shows the importance of having somebody to check in with at the end of the day.

It would be pretty useless in most of the places that I work. Still, some way of communicating would be handy. We carry the little Garmin Inreach… Garmin - InReach Mini GPS with Built-In Bluetooth - Red/Black | Dell USA

I don't know if they actually would work in an emergency though...

Yes on the dog, but mine would only drop his Frisbee near me and want me to throw it, and if I was lucky the wife would start looking for the dog.

when I use my chain saw I make sure there is an adult home and tell them to listen for the saw. I do work alone in the shop a lot. Even with a cell phone by the time help would get to me chances are it would be to late. Accidents happen and this incident is a reminder to make sure some one knows where you are and what you are doing. Thanks for posting

Around here - you wouldn't last four days. The coyotes would have you for breakfast on the second or third day.
