Don't waste your hard earned cash on the new HF line of clothes . There athletic supporters aka jock strap supposed to hold two nuts but in actuality only holds one . Of course made in china ! Only item in store with a no return policy .
Sounds like a ballbreaker, bullbreaker. Sorry but I can't help to think that is your handle and more than once have double checked your alias. Ballbreaker was the nickname of our High PE/Coach.

The $20 Click Type torque wrenches that were perpetually on coupons for $9.99 are now on clearance for $11.99. How does that work? And why on clearance:? What are they replacing them with?

The cheap ones are just that. Cheap and not accurate but then neither are the others sold on Amazon and elsewhere. Torque repeatability and torquing accurately to a set point is paramount.

In life you usually get what you pay for but in the case of tools in general, the markup is usually extreme. Bought one of their cheapo wrenches and too it apart. Just as cheap inside as the price is.

Didn't know HF was selling clothing. Guess I'm out of the loop. Probably like Cabelas. selling Chinesium made clothes but in Cabelas stores the prices are stupid inflated.
I didn't either... been awhile since I visited HF. Used to make unplanned stops the the whole Covid thing and origins has made me pause.

I would guess that they found a different factory to make something similar. Factories in China are a maze of subcontracting stuff. I've been looking into having some small brass hinges being made and 3/4 of the companies I've contacted are just acting like a middle man and getting a quote from one of the few companies that make them and then marking it up. If I was HF I would only be buying from the actual companies making the goods. They can afford to have a purchaser stationed in China who's job is to keep on top of stuff like this.

The cheap [$20 Click Type torque wrenches] are just that. Cheap and not accurate
Trust, but verify. (A famous quote). A few times in each project I bring out two old beam torque wrenches, a Craftsman I bought new in 1960 and a Thorsen, to verify torque attained with the $9.99 HF cheapie.

All three have always shown identical results.

But I wouldn't use the HF on anything critical without this occasional double-check.

So they only have 2 ball jock straps?

I was gonna go buy one in case I ever had a ball tuck back up inside me after viewing another rant by Nancy P!

Until it pukes that is.....lol Again, there isn't enough 'feel good' with battery powered tools except hand tools like drills and grinders to sway me to buying them ever. Greenworks is just as much Chineseum as HF is. Just different colored plastic. The works are basically identical.

Of course "Greenworks" is Chinese.
The saw works great!
Not sure what your point is.
I am not cutting timber for lumber, or cutting firewood for heat, or running a tree service company.

Neither have I actually. I think HF sell cheap toy drones, not sure about the rest unless you want to call latex gloves, clothes.
this belongs in the don't suck but their nitrile gloves are (well at used to be a bargain).
