B01 Series - Height of ROPS when folded?

As I metioned in the Buying forum I am planning on a B01 series, probably a 2601 but I need to confirm the height of the ROPS when folded as I have a shed door height limitation of 70"......based on what I can tell it looks like the folded position is probably ~16-18" less than the 85" raised height but this could be a challege if I am wrong.

Can someone help a guy out?

I had a 2601 and a 70” shed door height and had NO fitment issues with the ROPS folded down. I had turf tires on that machine (not sure if tire type has any bearing on overall height). It was never close to hitting the upper door frame even with the upper ROPS bar swept back instead of straight folded down.

I recently bought a B2650 and it also fits the same shed door with the ROPS folded. I have R14 tires on it and it’s definitely higher than my 2601, but still have no fitment issues (just have to bend over a little bit when going through the opening).

I don’t remember exactly what the height measurements were for the 2601, but my 2650 is 67” with the ROPS folded

This folded ROPS height number is pretty important, yet in my research NONE of the makes call it out. Kinda ridiculous. I had to go measure it myself at both the Kubota and Kioti dealers. Of course, once I determined that the height was fine, I promptly forgot the number (for an L2501), which makes this post pretty unuseful, I reckon. Actually, the Kioti guy did give me a number, but it was wrong. You might want to truck on down to the dealer with a tape in your mitt.

It looks like I'll be building a new tractor shed anyway. My wife's not thrilled about the tractor getting a spot in the garage. She says my old tractors did fine outside. But they were cheap and old and...experienced. And not shiny. So...

This is not an argument I'm going to win, is it? FWIW, my wife keeps her sheep hay in the other half of the garage. Doesn't seem fair, as if that matters.

Hope it works. Bet it'll fit fine.

I prefer non folding ROPS like the JD 4010 had. I put the ROPS up once on the lemony JD 1025R and almost ripped away my garage opening. Haven't folded it nor the replacement JD 2025R's since. The folded ROPS is just about my head level. Enough protection.
