Well, sorry, I have to call ... complete......BS on all of that. Please stand by.......

I guess you never took economics in high school or anywhere else for that matter.
But even a blind Hog finds an acorn once in a while. Apparently you are onto something, I hope you find what you are looking for.

On the flip side, It sounds like some hungry dealers are willing to promise anything to get a sale. A lot of BS flying around. Especially the need for a Driver's License. What's up wit dat? I could walk in anywhere and buy a tractor with a credit card. That's all the ID they need. If they don't have what I want, I walk out. No need for the BS shuffle.

^^^Exactly,

I spoke with 6 dealers. I had intended on purchasing a LX3310 from the same dealer I purchased my BX25D from, but on a $38k tractor their 'deal' was $595 off. 3 dealers said they didn't have a LX3310 and had no idea when they might arrive. One dealer jerked me around for days, he literally called me every day for 4 days, gave me a price, but it turned out he didn't have the tractor at his store and couldn't get the options I wanted.

Beckmurph (THANK YOU) was kind enough to tell me of a dealer in WV with the exact tractor I wanted in stock and I purchased it. Their price? While my original dealer offered me $595 off (plus the $1100 Kubota discount), the dealer in WV priced the tractor at $5086 off (plus the $1100 Kubota discount). I even went back to the first dealer and asked if they could come close to matching the deal, but received an off-putting 'have a nice day' email response. I'm not at all about saving every dollar, but I ended up with the tractor I wanted and just ordered a new SureTrac trailer which coincidently cost almost exactly as much as I saved, so I view it as getting a free trailer with the deal.

Congratulations John on your new LX! Sometimes it takes some shopping to get what you want and you certainly were able to.

Basic supply and demand. There is no reason to discount something that is in limited supply. If you will not pay full price, the next guy in the door looking for that same item is very likely to, because he cannot find the item anywhere within a reasonable distance for any price. Also known as a sellers market.

While that's normally the case, there are odd things that happen. On Saturday Wifey and I went to a Chevy dealer about an hour away just to see a Tahoe in a color we've not seen except in pictures on the internet (Empire Beige Metallic). The 2021's have been in short supply, so I called ahead just to make sure it was still there. The salesman had been told we were just looking but wanted to do a deal because it was near the end of the month. He was offering the vehicle for around $50K. Sticker was $59K.
