Good morning all

63 now dew point 63 high of 88 today.
Got some rain showers the past day or two. Only about half inch but some is better than none!

Not much going on for projects until weather breaks.

Those dealing with the smoke and wildfires stay safe.

Everyone enjoy your day.

Good morning!
75 going to 89 today in warming trend.
Errands this morning, laundry and food shopping, then back for a quiet day. And then one more trip out to pick up laundry.

Phil, hope they fix your a/c today.
Ted, I opened the battery box on my rv just to check on things, was still pretty clean, two AGM batteries in there, should last awhile. I don't do dry camping/boondocking
so my electrical needs are pretty limited. House batteries always kept charged by two 100watt solar panels on roof.

All those in path of bad storms, hope this isn't too bad for you. Marco seems to have died down and hung a left to the West before it hit New Orleans, while Laura
is still on track for a big curve back over the MidAtlantic

Good morning, rain has been hammering down all night and is set to keep coming for the rest of the day. Really windy too, a few tree branches are down. I suppose looking on the bright side, no trudging around fields with a knapsack sprayer today :)

Yesterday morning after a bump on the head, my wife suddenly started seeing flashes in one eye. Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago, so I know flashes are generally a harmless side effect of getting older, however they may also be a sign on an impending retinal detachment, so it is very important to get it checked out within 24 hours. She talked to our optician in the morning, after which she got an emergency appointment to see a different optician in another town. After a drive at slighter higher speeds than normal we made it there on time, with Covid-19 helping to provide space in the nearest car park. Fortunately the tests showed no major issues and we returned home to spend what was left of the dry and sunny afternoon at a much relaxed pace.

Ken, a lot of firewood in an ash that size. Few things as satisfying as having a tree land in exactly the right place

Wng, glad you enjoyed the surprise visit. A few years back our son also made such a visit - he got the biggest surprise, we were not at home

Eric, sorry your wife went through that and glad she is doing ok.
As we get older, annual eye exams really are important, as annoying as they can be with drops
and the constant "is it better this way or that way"?...
Medicare here will pay for the basic exam but if one wants the higher tech exam, usually another 50-100 dollars more.
I used to not pay for it, now I do.

70 and saturated, going to 94 and sunny.

Good one, BEF. (critter sized)

Ken, nice job of felling that big tree...if you're like me, you go from a state of excitement/pending danger as the big tree begins to fall, to one of euphoria when it lands safely in the right place.

RNG, if it wasn't for the long drive and smoke, I'd be asking to visit you right about now (chili, spaghetti, green chile chicken stew).

Roasted some nice coffees yesterday morning while the grass dried, and then mowed most everything except where the ground is still too soft. Grass was dry on the outside, but very moist on the inside. Local weather man said if the hurricane remnant moves over us, it could rain enough to move us up to the all time August rainfall record.

Waiting on first cup of coffee to cool. 66° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 85° with partly cloudy skies. Finished siding repairs yesterday. My Aunt is coming over today to help with putting up curtains in Garage, Shop and Pole Barn. I know, why. Wife put them up many years ago. They are falling apart. I got a volunteer to help me replace them. :D Then get in from the heat.
Found this tent worm while working on siding.

Eric, good wife is OK.

Phil, hope you get AC fixed soon.

David, I heard Zoom was down yesterday. Did it affect you.

Rich, enjoy your week off.

LS, did you modify your original plan for batteries.

Thomas, nice tongs. I had a set for years. Sold them after I made my grapple.

Mostly, my tree trimming has been on hold for a couple months now. Maybe next week.

RNG, way to many fires. Stay safe.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.
