Reduced inventory of RK Tractors

I am within 30 miles of three RK stores -central Ohio now none have more than 3-4 tractors sitting outside the stores whereas Jan & Feb, 10-12 sitting outdoors. Does this have to do with inventories being established for the year at the start of the year or something else happening ( less commitment to the brand) ? Any ideas ?

When mine was delivered to the store last August - according to the salesperson - they could've sold three times over. I shopped several times over a couple months and the RK37/55 were never the same ones (I mentally noted the inventory tags). Didn't look at/notice the RK19/24, but did notice that one of three the RK74s was there over that period. I believe they will continue to sell like hotcakes if they can improve consistency of their service experience.

Per Tractor Mike on you tube annual sales are 60-70k yearly on compact tractors. That is a lot of hobby farming. Great opportunity to offer repair service with so many sold units.

Covid-19 has disrupted supply chains worldwide.

Kubota is having identical problem supplying tractor inventory and spare parts to dealers.

RK here in SW Indiana didn't sell them until a year or so ago. Last week they had maybe, 15 on their lot.

Waverly assembly plant has semis rolling in and out all day long.

The store has had display gaps since the beginning of the year. Tractors on the display line often have sold signs on them as they await pick up.

Here in northeast indiana, we just recently found a rural king that had tractors. They are marking them down by 12% off list.. just to move the current inventory due to the fact they have been there a year plus. Also the paint on these units is terribly faded due to some process in house. The hoods and roofs on the cabbed units are almost orange rather than red. But $4k off motivated me anyway.

Where is the store in northwest Indiana? I didn't even know they had any stores in that area. I go to the store in Niles, MI, but they don't sell tractors there.

Two stores nearest me with tractors have had difficulty stocking smaller HP tractors. It's the big units that seem to be more available. Looked at them but was afraid of future parts and service. I did buy a RK branded tiller. Looks exactly like a King Kutter but made in China sticker. Not enough room in barn so it's set out. In 19 months time the PTO plastic guard ends are falling apart from sunlight. This was a new crated unit off the truck and it didn't sit out much previously. Looks like no UV protection was added into the plastic.
